Turn off TPMS?

Just ordered a new set of wheels/tires for the CM.
Now I need to decide if I want to buy TPMS sensors for them. I'm guessing the dealer will rip me off for these.

So the question is: can I disable the TPMS system so the light is not staring in my face all the time if I don't have the sensors installed?

Just talked to the dealer and he tells me I don't have TPMS sensors in my wheels??

I guess I need to do some more research....

Well, from what I gather (I'm in Canada, so it might be a Canadian thing, dunno..), the car *does* have a TPMS, but it does not have sensors in the wheels.
No clue how it works, all I know is that apparently I don't have to buy sensors for my new wheels, so I'm happy

We survived as the human race without cars, what is your point?

TPMS is a great system for people with run flats as well as the majority of people who don't routinely check tire pressure on all tires.

Is there a way to disable the TMPS system so the light is not on? I don't see the point in spending $100+ on these sensors when I can just check the pressure myself.

Small piece of electrical tape?

In theory you could pull the fuse, but there might be other systems on the same fuse.

Do you check tire pressure before every drive? Are you using RunFlat tires?

Be involved in an accident and cause major damage and fatalities and the insurance company or other parties involved find out you defeated a safety system, you might just be in a major world of pain. Is that worth the cost of 4 TPMS sensors?

After you replaced the wheels, reset the TPMS system and you should be good to go. That’s what I did 😎🤙🏽

Is the ABS system dependent on the TPMS or are they independent?
