Will TPMS fit the 16" OEM steel wheels?

I'm looking at a set of 16 x 6.5 - Et46 steel wheels, MINI PN 36109803650 for winter use on a Countryman JCW. I'm trying to retain run flat tires and TPMS. Has anyone put a set of Huf Beru RDE012 sensors in these rims?

If the steel wheels won't take TPMS, how about the R123 (36109803725) 16" european alloys?

According to what I have read, the CM JCW will work with 16" wheels since it does not use the oversize JCW Brembo brakes used on other models.

Tires are another headache. Not many choices in 205/60R16 run flat snow tires.

We had some people fit the Huf ones and the BMW factory beru ones on the factory 16" 4x100 steelies. The 5 x 120 should be the same. The Huf ones are little tight but do work on the 16" 4x100.

Part # 36106856227

Steel Wheel - Silver Part # 36109803650
16 x 6.5 , Et46, 5x120 bolt pattern.

Shows the 16" steels will fit the JCW Countryman.

Don't forget the center caps for the steels.

36109803725 believe these will fit also.

You can ask bmwr606 as that is the person as I believe the TPMS were fitted to that R123 wheel.

Thanks and good luck.

the TPMS senders do fit the R123 Alloy 5 Hole Circular Spoke Wheel 16" (5x120) Silver

my mini dealer told me they do not fit the steelies, my local independant tire store said the OEM TPMS senders may not work, but there are other brands that are compatible with the car that would

i wanted the alloys anyway, and ordered the TPMS senders from Alex @ tirerack ... they were BERU brand, made in Germany

i put the largest size tire that fit with no rubbing, turns out that is 205/70R16 that i found as dunlop grandtrek sj6 studless ice and snow, available from tirerack

note that i have the oem sport suspension, lowered 10mm from the stock non-sport suspension

stock 225/45R18 on left, 205/70R16 on right

Thanks bmwr606, very helpful , hopefully that will help him out with his winter setup options

The Huf ones and the BMW Beru ( 36106856227 ) we have fit the 16" steelies in the 4x100 (16" x 5.5 et45) which are even more narrow , little tight but they fit. So, I cannot see why those sensor would not fit on the 16" 5x120's.

bmwr606 set up does look very nice and maybe less weight in total with the aluminium wheels.

Thanks for the info. It sounds like the alloy wheels are the safest bet.

When you get the set alloys, post up some pics.

I have a 2008 S Clubman and am looking for a winter steelies setup with TPMS.
Can anyone confirm that this setup will work?

Updated the other post, we double checked the HUF aftermarket and they work on those 4x100 steelies.
