Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 17 for Countryman?

Hi there mini lovers. I recently installed the above tires in my wife's cooper s. We'll I love them so much I'm wondering if I could buy a 225/50 17 for my countryman? Will they fit? Different size perhaps? Any thoughts?

I just had new Potenza's installed on my 2012 ALL4S yesterday. We test fit 2 sizes. 215/55r17 and 225/50r17. Both fit and it didn't look like either would rub. The 225's were very close and I do take my car "off road" to Cell towers and the suspension does get worked to full travel so I went with the 215's just in case. They fill the well very good and look much better than the 205's. Biggest diff. is the ride and handling without RF's. Its like a whole new car.

Thanks for the feedback Ke3ee. Decided to go with the DWS for now by Alex at Tirerack that the 225/50 would work out. May research a little for now.

I have the as3's on my countryman and love them. 225/50's they are just a tad wider but look good on the car. Handle great and are so much quieter.

I just bought the AS3s for my countryman S All4...getting installed this week....can't wait to dump the conti runflats...we did manage to get 36k miles out of them, but the road noise and vibration has been unbearable the last 15k miles or so.

Great news! We're trying to get some more life out of the Conti's so that when we switch over to these we'll get the most out of the "new" tread for the winter. Hopefully, some from up north may chime in when they get their first snow accumulations to see how these fair in snow.

I'd add that the only way we were able to get 36k miles is with some pretty bad feathering on the edges of the tires the last 6-8k miles...The dealer was pushing me to replace, but we still had 6/32nds tread so I just kept them until we got down to 4/32nds. The lesson for me there is rotate, rotate, rotate. It was the same story with the Pilot Super Sports we put on my wifes JCW...we got 24k miles out of them, but the last 6k they were rumbling the whole time.

Quick question, what size did you end up getting and how much did it run you? If you don't mind saying!

Hey, we got 225/50/17s. Cost for four V rated A/S 3 tires were $620 plus $68 for road hazard.
