Looking for some good AT tires for my soon to be lifted Countryman!!

Doing a 2 inch lift on my Countryman and cannot seem to find any good AT tires. Looking for possibly another 1.5 inch in diameter tire for the 17" wheels. Anyone have luck? THANK YOU FOR THE HELP!

the pickings are slim for 17" wheels, try 16"

tirerack.com is your friend

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

this is the tire i think i am going to use

i have used this exact tire in 235/75-15 on my 97 sonoma 4x4 p/u

they wear well and the grip in snow and offroad is great

I've been thinking of going the same route for winter tires. If you can find a 15 inch wheel that fits the Countryman, this might work:

hey jaridp: you might want to look into the fitment of 215/70/16. i have the 2" lift on my countryman and i purchased and returned 2 sets of tires because they didn't fit. to my knowledge, no tire with an overall diameter larger than 27" will fit. i looked into every combination of all-terrain tire/wheel combo out there and 16" is a good wheel size, but 215/70/16 tires are 28" overall... 215/65/16 is only 27" in overall diameter. you might want to look at those.

really!
Wow, definitley let me know how it drives...
The tires i was attempting to mount were 245s (using bolt-on spacers) so i guess the extra width added to my turn ratio problem.

Im looking to get 16" with A/T tires for the winter. Yeah, let me know how the spacing is when u get a chance...

looks GREAT Jarid!!!!!!!!!!!

those are the 215/70-16 KOs?

what wheels are those? width and offset?

have you had a chance to push the car hard in a corner yet?

do you have the stock or sport suspension?

Ooooh can't wait to hear more about how this works out for you jaridp. I'm curious if you get any rubbing when compressing the suspension and turning. I also wonder if a 15 inch wheel would fit. Even more sidewall cushion...

Jarid, where did you have this installed, and does this void the warranty?

Those wheels and tires look like they might fit at stock height. The picture looks like you have well more than 2 inches clearance.

I dont think these tires would fit with stock height. The rear does rub on the rubber mud flap in the front of the well but very very slightly. I am going to take it off tonight and see if it still touches.

So...I'm going to ask as well, where did you get it done? Or more appropriately what did you use to lift your ride? Did you replace front shocks, coilovers, springs, rear springs, rear shocks, etc. and with what?

Thanks Scott! I was thinking in "FJ" mode (my FJ runs ICON) because of my truck. I see now...

Maybe someday we'll get suspension components. (springs; shocks; struts; arms)
