I cut out the 2 resonators when I put my exhaust on... Also changed out the DP. Not sure the difference it made because I did the exhaust all in one shot, but I can tell you I don't have any issues and I don't have a CEL with the Down Pipe because I spaced out the bottom 02 sensor to fool it

There are also some other videos on my channel, the DP is what gives it the real throaty deep sound (so I'm told...)

Thanks! I am very happy too with how the tips fill the gap

[QUOTE=chrunck;3516860] ... I was thinking I'd want the muffler shop to cut out the resonator, 2nd cat, or both during the install. Pros/cons?QUOTE]

I never considered removing the second cat, I suppose that if you are thinking about that, well this is the time to do it! Any work done on the factory exhaust would require the use of clamps, I know Carlos would not weld on the OEM pipes as it could potentially void your warranty for that system. To date I am happy with the sound, love the pop and burble....

I just ordered the NM exhaust from Way and a Magnaflow resonator (as discussed in this thread) from Amazon to replace the stock cat/resonator. Now I just have to figure out the logistics of getting it installed once it shows up.

eenunez1,
did you have to cut your stock exhaust for the NM to fit?

Yes, the stock exhaust requires cutting in order to install the NM exhaust. One cut is all it takes to drop the stock exhaust. It can be a DYI, but I had a local shop install mine.

Hi eenunez1 is there any drone in this system in city? I use to have nm exhuast on my 2009 clubman S and it had drone from day 1. I just want to make sure this one is ok before I buy it and install in my CMS.

Thanks!

is there any drone in this system in city? Yes, there's some drone. It does not bother me, I actually like it! In sport mode you hear it a bit more and makes the pop and burble when downshifting sound really cool. It is a really well made exhaust system and if it proves to be too loud, you can always add a glass pack. Obviously it's personal as to how much drone you want in your day to day. Good luck!

I've recorded some sound clips here:

what type of hp numbers should i look for, jcw nm or vip exhaust, im trying to prioritize my list. 5-8 hp gain maybe? im thinking of getting the DP first instead of spending 1k for the exhaust. DP and tune would seem best without spending a lot and i would see the biggest return in performance.

You won't see any gains... Dyno tested with Akrapovic down pipe midpipe and back box all changed out with Modified JCW exhaust parts. Did three dyno pulls before and after and say +1 hp and -1 lb/ft. That could just be due to temperature changes in morning vs evening.

Oh ok, so I guess those changes are mostly for sound? Or need other mods to compliment them? Sorry if aB question.

I have a high flow induction kit and a tune along with many other things... But the sound itself adds 50hp. You gotta hear the thing. Worth every penny, you just wont be physically going any faster, you'll just think you are

Nice, yeah I also have the VIP kit and tune is coming up next. I will have to hold off the exhaust purchase for now, just seems a bit expensive. Nm springs, tune, front JCW lip should be a nice self Xmas gift

Awesome! I have all that, except that I had the full JCW body kit installed with the car at port. If you have any questions about mods, just PM me

How are these installed? The kits all seem to have various lengths and not go all the way up to the downpipe. Cut off the catback at some specified length and install a sleeve?
