On really cold days I have had problems if I get in a hurry and don't let the car warm up. If I just crank it and go the engine seems to stutter a bit. Always a good idea to let it run at least five minutes to get the oil and what not moving around. Seems to work for me.
I personally haven't had any problems (knock on wood). But mine is parked in a garage at night so at least it's not out all night but with the cold days (single digit) we have been having, so far I haven't had any problems with it starting after work.
My cold start problem has been going on for months now. Mini of Omaha is trying to figure it out. The Mini Regional Engineer from Chicago is going to look at it Wednesday. It is happening to many others from what I have read in the NAM forums. I searched "Cold Start" and found hundreds of issues. It is only the 07 MCS with the problem. Some are calling it the "death rattle". Sounds like there is no oil in the engine. Then it just stops. I have 13,300 miles. My engine light has come on 6 times now. I just thought I might find someone else in Omaha with the same problem I could compare notes with. Thanks for the replys!!
I got tagged.
Lincoln, NE. I was in Hi-Vee for like 5 minutes and I came out to see a lovely tag on my brand new Mini, courtesy of Ryan Luedtke. I have only had for about two weeks and I got it at Baron Mini in KC. They were great. I had a poor experience at the Mini in Omaha, but KC worked out great.
Congrats on the new wheels. You will see your name added to the list shortly. Glad to see Ryan has been out placing cards... yes I know the rest of you are waiting for tag cards (Mike) I am having problems sending the file because the image is a 63 Meg file.
But never fear I will find a way to get these available to all.

Hello all!
We are Pauline and Daniel and happy owners of 2 minis, a 2007 non S (Pauline's) bought in sept last year and a used 2005 cabrio non S (Daniel's) bought just a few days ago. We're in Blair, which seems to have become a hotbed of minis. We've seen no less than five others around town lately. Cool!
Anyways, just wanted to say hi to everyone and if you can point us to where we can join the club?
Oh, btw, the 05 mini is the orange one from Markel Mini... did it belong to anyone here? Would love to find the original owner.
Thanks and happy motoring!

Thank you!
Rob, I hope you're kidding!
Well, see, there was this movie, see, and there was this guy in it see whose nickname was Handsome Rob, see, and I think, but I'm not sure but there were some Minis involved in there somewhere.
If you've never seen the Italian Job (the new one), that movie probably sold Minis to more folks than anything else... my wife included. It was all she talked about after seeing that movie.
Btw, an even better movie imo is the original. It was corny. It was British. It had the original Minis and much better stunts too. And, it had a catchy jingle that became sorta the British national anthem for a while; I find myself whistling it sometimes, still can't get it out of my head.

2xMini and Handsome Rob Welcome,
You have taken the first step in becoming members of CORN. The best way to know what is going on in our club is to keep an eye on the Forum here on NAM. We usually try to post event information as soon as or before plans are made. I encourage you both to look at the items on www.cafepress.com/CORNclub for CORN related items. All profit goes to the Club.
Also, if you could send me an email that way I can contact individuals or the group in a mass mailing. Please include your other contact information as well.

Hi guys!
I hope it's okay that I'm not actually rural . . .
Looking forward to attending some club events, meeting folks and talking about snow tires.
I have an '07 MCSa.

T-POD,
Welcome to the club. We are a very informal group.
If you look at page one of the post you will find that most of the members of C.O.R.N are from the Omaha and Lincoln area. So you are more than welcome to join us.
Because you are moving here from St. Louis we probably know some of the same people. I have went to the Dragon the last two years with several of the St. Louis MINI folks.
Let us know when you get settled in and maybe we can all get together for a welcome drive or something.
