SCCA AutoX in Lincoln on Sunday 4/11
CORN Members - just a heads up, the first big Nebraska Auto X of the year will be in Lincoln at the airport coming up this weekend. If you are looking for a fun, relatively low cost way of having some fun with your vehicle, come on out and play.
See http://nrscca.motorsportsreg.com/ to register for the event, and more information can always be found at www.nrscca.com.
The course is looking to be an awesome national level course (probably around 600-700ft square or bigger).
For those of you who have done AutoCross with us in the past on an informal basis, Stock Cooper S are now in DS instead of GS. Nebraska Region also still has Ladies and Street Tire PAX classes.
If you have some Mods on your car and not sure which prepared or PAX class you belong in, come find me (I will likely be somewhere around the registration bus) and we will get it figured out.
I look forward to seeing a couple Minis at this event.

Not a clue on when the specific car run times are. First car will be off at 10:00am and we are looking at running three groups. If you come out and want to take a ride with someone, I am sure we can arrange that.

sleeper1995 - No cost to come and observe. You will need to sign a waiver, and if you want to ride you will need to fill out a weekend membership form. If you bring your daughter you will also need to fill out a minor waiver form. http://www.scca.com/documents/insura...inorwaiver.pdf
MINIs at the autocross, and other cars too. Only two MINIs competed. I didn't drive because of my tires.
My vantage point was not so good, and my 40-150mm lens should have been a 100-300mm. These are some of the better shots.
Matthew's MINI:

---
Other MINI - I forgot his name, despite attending a few autocrosses with him, and talking to him today.

---
I was messing with shutter speed and these two of the XP class came out well.

---
A fraction of a second later, this guy plowed the cone into oblivion. Note he is at full lock.

---
I thought he was about to go sideways, but he didn't.

---
We were by an active runway. The Air Force was running a bunch of tankers on touch-and-go's.

Superb photos, nabeshin!
I couldn't make it after all, and I was actually ready to give it a try. But Vera's clutch blew out yesterday evening on an Iowa backroad, and that was that. Fun, fun. Always great to see MINIs in action!
