They took the drone away on my e34 with straight pipes. That's about all I can offer. They're just cheap resonators. If they solve a problem for you, rock them.
My guess is that it will sound a little ricer but not as much as the older Honda Civics. The ones that I see running around town are the 1 liter engines. Maybe put the Cherry Bomb in where the resonator normally is and leave the stock muffler? not sure what that would really do... I have the Megan Racing cat-back exhaust and it love it.
