Early 2003 R50 won't start

I bought a 2003 R50 and repaired the front quarter. Both Bags deployed - all work done but will not start. Wipers work - lights come on - not even a click at the starter. And yes I bought a new battery. Does the early 2003 (mfr 1/03) have an immobilizer? Checked all grounds again.
Thanks

Yes....there is an EWS unit on the vehicle. You can bypass it if you have to but that is at your own risk. I know nothing....:popcorn:

Check the switch on the clutch master cylinder. I'll add some pictures later, but after rebuilding the starter I was getting the same problem- turn the key to crank and silence. Troubleshooting I should have done before pulling the starter then included checking for 12v and the solenoid terminal when the key is turned. Since there was none, I checked the clutch safety switch and found that it had popped out of position. It looks quite easy to pop off if bumped, so I think that's what happened and I'm not sure I needed a starter rebuild, except for the fact that beating on the bottom of the starter would make it work again.

Maybe there were two problems at once. If the switch seems in position try checking for the 12v at the solenoid terminal. You'll have to figure out where it comes from (the EWS, if I remember) as it is almost impossible to get to without pulling the exhaust manifold and heat shields.
