Hidden Glove Box

I have a 2012 mc (non s). I know some of the models have a hidden glove box on top of the origional one. Its weird because i can push on the panel where it would open and it moves quite a bit, but it doesnt open.

Might be stuck - my 11 cooper has it - your should also...

greenr56 03-04-2012 06:26 AM

it should open, a friend just bought a new coupe (2012) and they still have the hidden glove box. worst case you still have the warrantee.

Probably just stuck, my 2012 MCS has it, as do all as far as I know

Bubble and Squeak 03-04-2012 08:39 AM

EinVan 03-04-2012 01:48 PM

I think they all have the secret compartment except the Countryman which has an entirely different dash.

Guys it is a secret compartment. No one is supposed to know. The proper response; There is no secret compartment. Move along folks move along. Nothing to see.

First rule of upper glove box, is you don't talk about upper glove box! If I had one, it has been working from day one. I would use it, if I had one, to store my ezpass transmitter.

If I had one it would probably store a .40

That where I "would" keep mine.

Mini///M 03-07-2012 03:06 PM

Damnit guys. I wish there was one. Because if I did have one, and it did get stuck... I'd like to know how to get it open. But unfortunately there ISN'T one.

drsimmons 03-07-2012 03:25 PM

I keep my .40 at home but I do keep my 380 in there.
Hey, I just noticed, this is my one thousandth post.
Do I get a prize or anything. LOL

Too bad my S&W M&P 45c won't fit :(

murdoc 03-08-2012 06:17 AM

Never thought to see if the Glock would fit in the mythical "secret glove box". I might have to contemplate the possibility of it fitting.

That's weird, my 40 is a M&P also and it would fit fine if it existed, in it's holster too :)

I recall trying it a few different ways. The two are very similar if not identical I think. Time to give it another go.

Of course it wouldn't fit. Fit into what? Something not there. Don't be silly.

Move along there is nothing there.

drsimmons 03-09-2012 12:22 PM

Tank - that's a good one.

charley1952 03-09-2012 04:48 PM

Is it not there on the 2002 cooper also? Charley

All this time I thought that was a cigar humidor. Just the right size and easy to reach.
