Look at my new spoiler and skuttles

Hello all, well I got my new rear spoiler painted to match my Lightning Blue metallic roof and installed it today. It looks awesome. I also picked up a set of JCW skuttles and installed them as well. I'm thrilled. Now I just have to wait for winter to be over so I can paint my calipers and install my R112 Challenge wheels. Here are some pics.

I have more pics too, but photobucket is spazzing out right now.

Nice!

It's the spoiler from an S. Install is soooo easy.

R112s are going to look awesome on that thing. I wouldn't paint the stock calipers though..

Install took maybe 8 minutes or so. Very simple. So for the calipers, just refreshing them back to silver?

What's the black bit on the roof that's not the antenna?

Yes exactly. I wanted it behind the factory antennae, but it seemed to block out the signal

Nice ...look forward to seeing when you get those wheels on too. (after all that winter piled up around you melts)..wow

..did the same thing with painting my calipers & hubs recently...silver, just to refresh back to newer looking...stays cleaner back there.

If you did a little searching around in the audio sub forum you might be able to find someone who can tell you which adapter to get to tap into the stock satellite antenna. I had one but got rid of it a long time ago. The 08's have a satellite built into the antenna stalk. The connector is right under the passenger seat under the carpet. Just FYI if you wanted to consolidate.

I will certainly look, I would love to get rid of the aftermarket one and hopefully get better performance from the factory antennae. I will start my search. Thanks

I've read a bunch of posts that say the factory antennae cannot be used with XM only Sirius. Is that true? I am used a XM RoadyXT. If the antennae can be used, does anyone have a link to connect to the factory lead and into my RoadyXT?

They are actually 17s. I think they may go in at the end of the week. I have to be sure the snow is done with. The tires that are on the wheels will be great in the rain, but not so good in the snow. If I get them on next weekend, I'll post pics. I agree, I can't wait as well.

I found it on ebay. It took a while to grab one for a reasonable amount, but it was flawless when I got it.

Looks good. One thing that I did to my Justa was installed a black grille from an S, it totally changed the car. I got mine at outmotoring, it was about $75 if I remember right, factory MINI part. I like what you have done, good looking car.

Thank you. I initially had the thoughts as everyone else in blacking the grille out, but I have become partial to the chrome especially with the reflection from the chrome driving lights. I do like the way the blacked out slats do look though. It may be something for the future.
