Had anyone tried the K&N Filters and if so what were the results please

 

Just a drop in? or the intake system.

Youll basically just get a reuseable (cleanable) filter w/ maybe a slight difference in intake sound with the drop in, and more intake sound with the whole Cold air Intake system.

Nothing special really. Maaaybe a slighter difference in throttle response, but you shouldnt be wowed by it

 

just the fifty dollar drop in. I had no idea they had an entire intake system

 

I had the drop in before I just swapped the whole thing out with an intake. The drop in is a waste of 50 bucks IMO.

I had put one (Drop-in) in our Non-MINI ('01 Dodge Durango), but being in the PNW, Rain Capitol of the US, it was a pain to clean and dry in an 8hr. period, so I just went back to the Fram Air Filter.

 

yup. Not too special. It does replace the intake to turbo tube though, which is nice. this one:



Not nearly as loud as the M7 Super AGS I once had.

Also most of the tuners make MORE HP with the stock airbox vs. a CIA anyway, though the Defenders Of Speed intake system is supposedly the best actual intake for getting cold air and power.
