thanks for all the comments on my new LED DRLs. i too always wondered what they would look like on a Mini and i could not find someone who did it. so finally jumped in and did it...and it's not that bad.

Lol yeah I always wait to get pulled over, but I know I wont because they are legal. They say no blue or red. These are white, but have that slight hint of blue like xenon lights and the camera makes it look even more blue.

I tapped into the power inside at the cigarette lighter and footwell lights. I ran it into a 3-way switch so I can have it fade in and out with the inside lights when locking and unlocking. The other 2 are for always on when the car is on and just off. I would have made it better, but I didn't want to deal with any soldering of diodes and stuff. Then it just runs up through the firewall behind the battery and to the grill area and to the HL area, which I have all on quick disconnects when any work needs to be done (the whole front end gets pulled forward to get to some areas).

Yeah the first time back in 07 I did regular plastic paint, primer, and clear coat, but the sun ate away the clear. I finally found plasti dip and I love the way it comes out. Matches the look of the stock black parts really well, plus the matte look is awesome. The stuff does get beat up by debris, but I think my old paint helps it from showing through. Might be a good idea to lay down regular paint and then hit up the plasti dip so you don't have to touch it up every time something hits it. As for the wheels, exhaust, and the rear control arms, I used a high heat engine paint. Holds up to head, very strong, and matches the lower black trim perfectly.

checker, i want to do the plasti dip...but out here in Europe it is hard to find. and when i finally found it..they want $30/can!!! can you believe it? i think you pay like $5-6/can right? so i'm waiting till i take a trip back home and buy it there and pack it in my check in bag.

Wow that is crazy expensive! Yeah we pay $5-6 a can. Unfortunately, no airline will let you put any type of combustable material or compressed cans. They don't even let women bring their hairspray lol I was going to say have it bought here and then have it shipped, but I just checked with DHL and it's like $140+. I think USPS might be $40-60s. Spray has to be ground shipped; can't go on an airplane.

Yeah no problem. Well USPS was $40-60 for a flat rate box that could probably hold 4-6 cans, so that would put your can cost from $10-20 per can depending. There are some other good options for blackout. I still highly recommend Krylon Fusion plastic paint.

And duplicolor High Heat paint is awesome as well. It will stick just fine to plastic if you put down a primer. But the best color from it comes out with baking. If un-baked it will have a purplish hue in direct sunlight (I mean direct and only that condition), but otherwise perfect.

I don't really want to deal with the annoying codes though. Does a normal code deleter work on our cars?

And, does the OEM heat shield thing cover the OBX/Supersprint headers?

Not sure. Oxy would know best about it though.
