I'll be honest, I know I haven't had a Euro customer get one, and I don't think DDM has yet either. You could be the first.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and have to say no, that it won't fit with the European R56 withoout the MAF-sensor. If you look the MAF-sensor screw's directly into the airbox on it. Im not 100% sure that it wont work for yours but its the chance you would have to take. Maybe there is a piece that can replace the MAF sensor in the box with it? Just so that you can hook it up.

It think that my oem filter and intake-hose from the filter to the engine looks different than the us-minis.

But it would have been nice if the ddmworks-intake would fit...

And Merry Christmas

yeah it does look different from mine, what year is yours? mine is a 09. might want to wait on it till they actually can say if it can be done or not. or if pics are put up to show it just out of the box and not installed to get a better idea if you can do it or not.

European Minis incompatible with American Mods?

Does the ddmworks-intake fit the European Mini Cooper r56? (without MAF-sensor)

Ouch ! ! !

Thanks hg3atintin - without your post I was going to buy a DDMworks intake assuming these were identically equipped engines.

Does this mean that those of us in Europe need to shop in Germany for their mod parts? I figured that Mini had pretty much unified their production to make the same cars worldwide, but apparently not.

Are there other parts of the Euro Mini which won't work with US-made mods? ? ?

Thx for any info you can share.

It depends on what mods you want to do. but ddmworks intake wont fit. Maybe a airvip2 is better? just to delete the resonator. check out www.lohen.co.uk for other mods.

Hi guys!!
I'm Gabriele from Italy.
I hope to make happy someone with this post!!! I mounted DDM WORKS intake on my euro (Italy) Cooper without MAF.
All you need are:
- DDM WORKS intake (obvious!!)
- part number: 13717524713 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...00&hg=13&fg=20 (number 10 on drawing). USA intake pipe.
- part number: 13710429383 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...51&hg=11&fg=95 (number 9 on drawing). This part will replace the MAF sensor.

these parts are all you need to mount your DDM intake on euro version!!!

Hi hg3atintin,

Thanks for your reply and for that link to the British website offering performance mods for our cars! I'll definitely check it out, although I am curious of how much good a tiny bit of extra pressure generated electrically could be to boost the horsepower of a naturally aspirated Mini?

This is the product which sounds appealing in theory and which might turn out either to be a very cool unit giving us an extra edge in acceleration or else which might be making unsubstantiated claims boasting of improved performance but accomplishing only a reduction in the thickness of our wallets?

However, I still may be tempted to try it out given that it sort of offers to slightly boost our intake like a turbo but without going so far as to require substantially different fuel mixture or causing the type of engine stress which has brought Cooper S and JCW owners a certain amount of strife once their warranty ends. It might even work well with the DDM Works Cold Air Intake?

Hi Gutter_ita,

Thanks for posting so quickly. I had read about your experience in another thread and was about to link to it when I noticed you'd been here and had already brought us this great news directly.

It is indeed extremely useful to know for sure that it can fit with additional accessories because the DDM Works unit is possibly the best CAI, and if not, certainly it is one of the cleanest and most OEM looking aftermarket intakes I've seen, as well as being one of very few especially designed for our Just a Coopers.

Mille grazie!
