ok this might sound dumb but can u blackout beltline with plasti-dip?
is it dumb to do? cuz i bought the blackout tape for the beltline but i dnt like it so i returned it? so is it dumb if i spray the beltline with plasti-dip? i will tape it off really good so theres no over spray? PLS HELP LOL!

I think if you taped off the rest of the car you'd be ok. I am not sure, but my guess is you might need to prime it or scuff it up (or both). If you're going to do it - I'd say paint is the best way to go.

With enough plasti-dip you can black out anything :sly:

I suppose you could in theory, but you'd probably be better off getting blackout tape you do like. What didn't you like about the tape?

Cutting the ends of the tape can be annoying, I've thought about PD'ing my beltline too. But to me that doesn't seem like a good idea.

You can do it. Half of my beltline is done with PlastiDip. The other half is still the tape method. It is a very long job thats why it is only half done right now. The hardest part is taping off the car. i used blue painters tape and newspaper. I did a section at a time. the only section I'm worried about it the front under the windshield. Hopefully if It is nice here in CT sunday or tuesday I shoudl be able to get the rest done. We have had so much raina nd I have been working so much that it had to be put on hold half way through.
