Here you go. And go down the page a little bit and click on the link for a sound clip. It's not the same as it is in person and it doesn't have the DDM CAI to go along with it, but still cool.

I was at Helenblitz and meet Way from Way Motor Works in ATL and he went off when I told him I got mine from autox. For the same price go to megan racing who makes the exhaust.

The install went great, the uninstall of the OEM exhaust, well rusty bolts

I love the sound, may never turn on the stereo/iPod again

As to performance, throttle response may be a bit better, or it may just be the feeling in the seat of my pants

The Way/DDM intake, and the Megan exhaust combo is a great mod for a Cooper

Reset the ECU or just wait a week or so and you will notice more of a change.

I have the DDM/Megan set up and LOVE it. Great sound, better response. Fuel economy has definitely gone down. This is clearly a problem related to my right foot. Just warming up here, so the windows and sunroof have been open the past two days. Really enjoying the full sound effect of the combo. MINI club is mostly S cars w/mods. They all comment on how great my car sounds.

I agree that milage tends to go down. But IF you can drive less spirited I actually get better MPG in "normal" driving than I did with stock.

Funny... when my windows are up in the winter, I get better mileage.

When the windows are down, the mileage goes with them. I think there must be some correlation.

I've been tracking MPG with my MINI for almost a year. Here's what I know. I get better MPG in the warmer weather. I get 32+ IF I shift at 3K. We all know the R50 Fun Zone is 4-6K and even in the Fun Zone I can get 28-30.
On a flat interstate in 5th gear with cruise set at 65mph I can get 32-34 all day. I do run the K&N Typhoon and 215/55 16's tires. Plus how many cars are this much fun and get 30 plus day after day?

PS, Thanks for all the love.

Well after a week of having the Megan installed, I'm still very pleased with it. There is some interior droning at highway speeds, but nothing the iPod can't take car of.

Not sure if MPG has changed, and with the way I've been using the volume pedal, I can't see how it would improve.

One thing I do miss though, I can't hear the growl of the Way/DDM intake as much anymore, but the roar of the Megan makes up for it

I keep track of my mileage quite a bit. Here is what I remember all in non spirited driving:

Stock and summer: 28-35mpg

Megan and summer: 38-42mpg

Megan and winter: 23-28mpg

stock and spirited summer: 23-25mpg

Megan and spirited any season: 12-20mpg

I love the megan it gives me better mialege than stock when I behave, and gives me more power when I am playing. It must have done more than a placebo effect because my milage for "fun" driving has gone down so it must be making more power I doubt I am getting the same power and using more gas. I also recently got 17" wheels because it almost seemed like my 15" hollies were too light... I was spinning out in first and second. Now I have tires that measure 215/45r17 this gave me a slightly bigger than stock diameter and made the gears taller which is has made the performance just a touch better. I still spin out in first and second if I am pushing it, but not at every stop light every time.

mitch, great info. I've now put 200 miles on a 1/2 tank of gas since installing the Megan, seems normal. I will figure out MPG when I fill up next time.

Getting bored with that throaty burble, Mark ??

It's been nearly a year and I'm noooooooooowhere near bored. I still put the windows down when it's 45 degrees out just to get a better listen.

Nope, not tired of it at all. Guess it is just the nature of my commute, couple of miles through residential,5-6 miles interstate, couple more through light traffic.

I need to get him out on some twisties, traveling many miles in a spirited fashion

Before my Megan Cat-back, I was not happy to catch a red-light on my 26-mile commute. Didn't want to be slowed down.

Now ? I hope for them. I love the sound as the engine transmission gears down. Especially when in Sport Mode.

Filled up Poco yesterday, and the math says I'm getting 29 mpg. Not bad for city driving, and taking into account the how much travel I'm using of the right pedal before shifting

here's my .02 cents. (my vids, my mini)

i know the description says "afe intake w/ megan exhaust" but in these vids you hear the exhaust since obviously it sorta drowns out the intake sound. enjoy!

yes, that's my power steering.

I have the aFe and Megan combo as well. I tend to get better mileage in the colder time of year (not really that cold in central Texas!). I use the a/c alot as we head to summer, and that kills the mpg a little. I get about 27 as an average, and almost all of my driving is in town. It took some time to get used to the extra noise, but even with CVT on my '02 I can hear some down-shifting as I cruise to a stop.

When I look at CAI, I'm kind of confused. Do most '02-'06 CAI work for 07+ 2nd gen?

for example:
http://www.minituner.com/products/?&productID=1606

just wondering, do you also buy a drop in filter and it connects behind that? I remember seeing CAIs for MCS with intake coming from the hood scoop. If someone can clear this up with a link or pics or any type of explanation that would be great.
