Quad Lights vs. Engine Cooling

I see the quad lights on the old Mini, but the grill is much larger. Would four on the 2009 possibly cause a problem with cooling in hot weather?

I saw this topic mentioned in other posts, but never addressed as to good or bad idea.

MINIUSA only recommends 2 lights, this is the only option they offer as OEM. Will 4 be harmful, don't know. Guess it would depend on how big they were.

Check State Laws & adding more weight to an underpowered vehicle already.

Two should be more than enough.

The quad set up is actually something that harks back to the rally days of the old Mini (I'm old so I know that). Most likely four were used because the candle power was not as good back then and more were needed (The first Monte Carlo rally winner had five). I like the look, but do not want to cause a cooling problem. There are kits all over to do this, but nobody addresses if it would cause a problem. I have the OEM driving lights, but they look small to my eye and do not give the "rally car" effect. I could use the extra light (like I said, I'm old), but I am going more for a look then enything else.

Check my friend's gallery out (2007MiniMe). He's got Quad Lights on his PW/B MCS.

Thanks, but I went to Gallery and typed that in and got negative results. Did I do it wrong?

Thank you. Now that looks very right. Larger lights and mounted between the to grills so I doubt there would be a problem. That is a very nice ride.

I do not have an "S", but it gives me food for thought........
