My Blackberry 8800 pairs perfectly and downloads the directory with no issues in my 2009 MC.

My wife's Sony Erickson also works perfectly once we copied the directory to the sim card -- it wouldn't read it from the phone's internal memory.

One interesting set of inconsistencies - If I get into the car alone with my Blackberry, it pairs perfectly. If my wife gets in later with her Sony, the car stays paired with the Blackberry. If we both get in together, it pairs with her Sony first. If she gets in first without me, the Sony pairs perfectly, but if I get in later, after she has paired the Sony, the Blackberry cannot be paired till we turn the entire system off and re-start everything.

If we get in together with both phones, but with her Sony turned off, the system pairs with the Blackberry, then if she turns the Sony on, the system re-pairs with the Sony. If I get in with my Blackberry turned off and turn it on afterward, the system stays paired with the Sony.

Kinda inconsistent in its operation. BTW, my C300 MB pairs with either phone and stays paired all the time, so the inconsistency seems to be in the Mini system, not in the phones.

I've had some goofy issues pairing the system with my daughter's iPhone -- don't know why. Sometimes it pairs perfectly, sometimes it can't find the phone at all, sometimes it does not pair till there is an incoming call, then, even though the iPhone is not paired according to the Mini display, the iPhone "rings" through the system and we find it has then paired itself properly. Once paired wiht the iPhone, the system ignores everything else and stays paired no matter what we do. But it doesn't always pair.

Weird.

can you please post this over in the NAv and Audio section where is should be as all Gen 2 cars have the same bluetooth system it is not exclusive to the clubman.

Sorry -- I'd been looking in the other forum and forgot where I was.

Can a moderator move this or do I need to do something from this end?

Clubman Phone Book

I have a 2008 Clubman. Bluetooth phone/phonebook has worked just fine with both blackberry and iphone. However, I don't think it's a "download," just available with pairing and connection of your phone. No reason your '09 should not work the same... hope you have a resolution soon!
