Update 5.24.07

Well the tuner can't take it until next Wednesday so I'm hoping they'll ship it June 1st...what are the odds? The thing is so damn small you'd think they could FedEx.

Here's either a stock photo sent to me or the photo of the actual axel for which we've been waiting a very long time.

BJ called and was quite complimentary and excited about the power. The fact he called is significant because he seldom (maybe 3rd time?) calls - he emails. Ohhhh....I need sedatives; this prolonged excitement is like a eunuch surviving alone on some remote island with only Cialis to eat.

It doesn't look like he was redlining it and it still looks like it from 10 to *00 in about 10 sec.

Looks like you got the street kit and sounds pretty good. Reminds me of my old JR B20/VTEC honda.

Wow meno, amazingly awesome build-up! Your classic looks fantastic, and I love that you did a blown K20, very very cool. With those dyno numbers I'd expect the car is perfect for inducing sh*t eating grins at the whim of your right foot

Congrats, and have fun!

Update June 9th, 2007

No car still...6/24/07 will mark eight months since the contract date.

A/C problems are causing the current delay so I've been told. Apparently they are trying a larger condensor rather than two smaller condensors...if I have understood correctly...to help the car cool in ultra hot locations like the central valley of Northern California...so it is for my benefit.

Long engagements suck.

This is now ad absurdum.

With MME coming up, I'm beginning to wonder about intentions but that's probably just the obsessions of Pouty, the smallest of dwarves.

I saw a classic today with the Minitec kit and it a very clean setup. I can't imagine this engine with a supercharger on it...but I'd like to find out...

Captians Log 6.21.07

A/C is fixed!!! Saaaaaaaaaaaluuuuuuuuuuuuute! (a la Hee-Haw - a rerun favorite in Franklin County to this day)

Scheduled to ship Monday June 25th, 2007 - ETA = July 2nd, 2007

Can I get an "amen" from the congregation?

I know, I know...don't count your chickens before they are hatched but keep in mind, Royston IS poultry country! So is that for the affirmative or the negative? Whatever.

Congrats, Meno!

Now, keep us posted with your impressions. Some of us out here are still tring to figure out if we should hold off on a classic mini until our piggy banks are three times larger so we might do the same!

Congrats on your new car!

Congrats! I'm doing research myself on purchasing a turn-key VTEC mini. Let me know how it goes when trying to register in CA. I heard it could be challenging.

Impressions

Car is ludicrous fast. I can easily be wrong but the addition of the supercharger seems to be smooth. The power band is not turbolent at any point, linear from bottom to top with no vtec erratic spikes. When vtec comes on in third tires continue to smoke through the top of the gear but it does so without transition - it just builds...if that makes any sense.

Car is in this week getting stereo and alarm jibberish.

A/C issues abound currently but Mini Tec has been good about all repairs both financially and with directions.

The car receives much attention and enthusiasm where ever I go...sometimes a bit embarrassing.
