there's a BUNCH of seats that fit ..... what are you looking for? New and adjustable or a classic look but not necessarily original

I have 'Cobra Classic'

they have a steep rake and are not adjustable and frankly are not comfortable for a long trip IMO .... a couple of hours is the most I want to be in 'em at one time.

But they look cool.

hmmmm

surprised no one else jumped in here but if history tells me anything, as soon as I say something WRONG a bunch of folks will chime in!

The Mini seat mount is pretty simple and generic so mounting replacement seats is usually pretty easy (4 bolts hold the seat to the mount on my 79, one at each corner)

if you want adjustable .... I believe the later Mini years (Rover years) you find adjustable seats and these 'bolt right in'

All of those are difficult to find here in the states, and they usually need redoing. The best seats I have found that fit easily and are comfortable, reclining and readily available for a reasonable price are from a Miata. No seats except those from another Mini or aftermarket seats made for the Mini bolt right in. That said, it wasn't too hard to weld up an adaptor to fit the Miata seats in my car. Two bonus of using them.....they sit lower in the car, which gives more knee room under the steering wheel, and because they are slightly narrower - if you bias the mounting to the inside a bit, they will go back past the rear companion bins all the way to the front edge of the back seat, so you can really stretch out your legs. A welcome thing if you're a tall person, but comfortable even if you're not that tall.

Also, if you can find a decent set - the Recaros used in VWs (particularly the GTI) are wonderfully comfortable.

Ended up doing 2001-2004 Mazda Miata for passanger and Recaro Sport Topline for driver. Both are conformable, keep you in place and way better then stock

I recently came across these, a friend has them in his Mini Marcos, period looking but modern construction. You would have to make the mounts of course, but they look terrific! Low back, reclining, no headrests so they look period and the owner says they're really comfy if firm.
