Newbee with new classic mini project

Hi all....recently purchased a clubman estate wagon that will be a supercharged Honda vtec all wheel drive. Where is the best place to get a lhd rack and replacement grille and trim pieces.

Thanks

best is subjective

but it appears you are new to Mini-dom and despite the fact you plan to trash a classic with a Honda drivetrain I'll point you towards

Thanks for the info. Yes... new to the classic Mini..I do have a 06 Coppers S vert JCW that doesn't get driven much with about 11k on it. Have several vintage BMW's that are show quality restomods.

I know that many will not like the build with a Honda vetec but I want to do something classic but with modern performance. Have a great shell and we will build a new JDM k20a type R head with a K24 bottom end and juice it up with a supercharger and AWD.

It will be a head turner and neck snapper when we are done.

It's a clubman wagon, the least loved of the Mini body styles, I don't think anyone's feelings should be hurt by making it a Vtec.

However, it happens to be a great choice for a Vtec conversion! Why you ask? Well I'll tell you.....it has an extra 4" of length in the front end from the firewall to the front fenders- which happens to be just the amount you need to fit a K motor in there! So, go for it, and post up some pics along the way!

Are you getting the conversion parts from Mini tech in Ga?

They've done one like this already, except they kept the rounded front end, and it was fast as hell!

Hi
Sorry to rain on your parade BUT if you want Honda performance and reliability, have you considered buying a Honda? You'll be $$$$$$$$ ahead if you do. Converting a classic Mini to VTEC power is a big commitment in time, money, and patience. Go for it if this is what you want but I hate to see any classic Mini bastardized. Sorry.
P.S. The extra 4" are NOT up front, it's in the wheelbase (longer rocker panels).

Thanks...exactly. Going to add the fiberglass flip front. Already ordered all the subframe parts + from mini tech. We are going to step it up a little from their build and add some needed upgrades. Fuel cell with a capacity greater than 6.5 gals plus some frame improvements. We are going to build the motor too with a K24 bottom and the JDM k20a head along with a supercharger.

I really don't care what it costs it is a hobby and not a business and I figure it should be worth half what I got in it when I am done. I have several similar vintage BMW's that I have done. Love them all and they are all head turners but worth half of what they cost. FYI the Clubman Esate has been off the road since 1998 so I don't think I am robbing you of your classic mini heritage.

Boy howdy, you've got that right!

Do post up pics along the way, I'd love to watch your build on this.

And don't worry about what the naysayers say - they built millions of Minis over the years, and there are milllions still around for them to buy.

In your own way, you're saving one too!

Thanks Dave

I will post the build pixs. Your right it is not like this forgotten Clubman Esate has any historical significance. I do have an 06 mini JCW vert that I promise not to do anything to..lol
In the process of building a 69 BMW 2002 with a euro M3 S14 2.5. Taking a little time with all the fabrication work. Mini next up and just getting all the parts together.
