You guys think I'm better off...

You guys think I`m better off with the classic look that my mini has, or going for a newer look? The reason I ask, is theres a perfect set of the Equinox edition seats and panels on ebay.co.uk right now. I've always loved the look of it, but dont know if I ever sell it, which would be more easy to sell. The equinox was limited to 750. Of course if I do that, then I`m going to get a burl wood dash, and paint it a different color. Ebay is pure evil!

Well, I talked to the wife, and shes fine with me getting them. Our thoughts are if we are going to get them, we originally bid 1330 on our car, after seeing the condition, we made a second offer of 1150, so 180 quid less than we originally intended to pay, so if we get it for about that or a little more, its pretty much a wash. Plus she likes it, because we'll get to do some sightseeing along the way.

More than likely, I'll get antsy, and put them in this one, but we'll see.

Very pretty seats and a doddle to sell on if you go back to stock.

don't worry about upgrading your minis with disks, seats, steering wheel, motor upgrades. they made 5 million minis, Unless the car is a rare edition such as a cooper S or mk1/mk2 or other very limited edition, you are only raising the value of the car if you do modest upgrades. A webasto (but not a pop up sunroof, alloys, disks, nice dash...these are all good upgrades.

Now I'm torn. They are up to 265 quid. Seems a lot for half leather, although they are limited edition seats....arrrgh! Choices....

Well I lost. I bid up to 307.57 pounds with 20 seconds left, but lost them to 317. Disappointed, but I'll just have to keep looking.

plkdb,

I didn't want to jinx you with the auction, but I'm not surprised to see you outbid by a few. I'm one of the few on this planet who thinks EBAY sucks. I have NEVER actually "won" any auction that I placed bids on. FWIW, I love the vintage aspects of your mini. I'd keep the center oval binnacle parcel shelf look.
