Here's his ad:

Full Custom street registered 1971 Austin Mini Hot Rod...
Motor has been taken out .. This bad boy has had a 350 and later in life
a V6 to tame it down. This car has been in garage kept for over 8 yrs. And only brought out to take pics today. Severe injury has left me know choice but to let my last prized toy go to a new owner. Any good mechanic if has a spare motor can bolt it up and have in ready to go in less than 3-4 hours...
This car works wonder for getting attention whether it be advertising or showing off in the parking lot...Don't miss out
located in Duncan 45 mins from Nanaimo ferry terminal.
Too much goodies to list oh yeah it's body tilts up so you can work
on motor ....
$6500Can

That's awesome!

Nice! Truly looks like a Matchbox.

I can only imagine how scary that car would be. The Mini has a tiny wheelbase to begin with! It'd be a fun 10 seconds of peeing my pants though I bet :)

I've seen other photos of this... It's set up to drop a big block AMerican engine into the bay, and has a transmission tunnel driving a rear wheel drive setup. Madness.

Defitely only a car for someone that means to build a FrankenMini drag car...

"Severe injury has left me know choice but to let my last prized toy go to a new owner"

Begs the question if the injuries caused because of the beast.

ImagoX 08-01-2007 09:11 PM

Doubtful... I hear it's been garaged for quite a while. But one never knows...

I wonder if this was the seller...

I'd love to see this little beast in action!

Ooohhh....let's see...$6500CAD = almost $6200US. Bloody US Dollar falling through the floor!

There is no way I can sell the wife on that.

Well...
You can't argue that wheels/tires are too small for the flares. I didn't see wheelie bars... Could you even punch it with doing backflips?

Meno, have you seen this thread? Certainly makes some little supercharged K look anemic:razz: . This is the ultimate torque monster.

And, 2phun, that video is one of those rare examples of when I think it's ok to laugh at another human being's suffering. I know, that comment probably makes me sound like I'm a heartless beast, but...

Agro 08-03-2007 12:17 PM

If it's a front engined car with a 350, I don't think that holding the front end down would be impossible. Might take some practice to balance the car on the rear wheels, but it probably could be done. If it's road registered, can you have wheelie bars mounted? He might have bolt on ones for track runs.
Where do you add fuel?
