Mini's at Indianapolis Motor Speedway
 

The "Mini Hits the States" tour will be in Indy on Wed., August 30, 2006. Miniusa is trying to arrange a get-together at Indianapolis Motor Speedway to take a lap around the track.:thumbsup: Anyone else interested in driving the most famous track in the world?:razz: Petty Enterprises will show us the garage area as they will be there working on cars.
I will be joining the tour in St. Louis and driving to Indy from there. Miniusa is planning a tailgate party there on the 29th, It will be on the roof of a parking garage accross from the new Busch Stadium. Large screens will be added for our viewing pleasure. Also, an aerial photo will be taken at the Arch on Wednesday morning. I'd enjoy your company in St. Louis too.:nod:

That is a lot of driving for a 2 1/2 mile lap (hope it will be fast enough to be fun)..

I will see if I can take the time off work to head down there. Sounds like a good time.

I'm totally down for this. I drove the Milwaukee Mile last weekend and that was a blast. So, this should way better!!!:impatient:thumbsup:

Please keep us updated :nod: as my husband & I are also planning the St Louis to Indy run - we live in Effingham, IL (about half way between the two cities). :thumbsup:

A few years back we participated in a leg of the Great America Race, which also had a stop in Indy. There we had the opportunity to drive a 1941 Cadillac Convertible around the track. Now, thanks to MINIUSA, it looks like we'll be able to drive my 05 MCSC around too:grin:

I know this event is over 3 months away, :roll: but those of you who plan on driving the STL-INDY leg of the trip might want to think about making reservations at a Hotel now in the St Louis area. :nod: I have already booked our room at the Drury Inn at Westport. Anything closer to the Arch - Busch Stadium area was going to be pretty pricey:eek: .

I am there! I will do the STL-INDY leg too, I need the exposure for my new business venture... top secret stuff right now. I hope that there will be more people doing this trip because I have driven to STL twice and there would be nothing better than looking at the backside of a MINI when there nothing else to look at.

I'll be meeting up with the group in St. Louis then coming back to Indy with everyone. Our Indy club is planning with MINIUSA and our local Dealer for the events here in Indy. We will have more info as things get finalized on www.minicci.org

I think i'm in. I'll probably be staying at a relative's house 45 minutes or so east of St. Louis

I'm going to be driving the St. Louis to Indy leg, so I'm most interested in both activities.

I live in Massachusetts and am trying to arrange meeting the group in either St. Louis or Indianapolis. If I make it then you can definitely count me in. I will keep you posted.
