Supercar Saturdays - June 4, 2010 at 9 AM

It's time to gear up for another fantastic Supercar Saturdays event coming up on June 4th. Same time, same place: The Arboretum of South Barrington from 9 AM to noon (however please arrive at 8 AM if you plan to display your car). We had a blast at the first event with over 150 cars in attendance despite some looming clouds. Look past your memorial day weekend plans, and RSVP today to reserve your preferred parking spot at the best morning show in the Chicagoland area. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER

We welcome anyone and everyone who shares our vision; preferred parking will be made available to early registrants and vehicles of exceptional interest. Our goal is to make this a diverse event with everything from classics and muscle cars to exotics and modified contemporary cars.

Next month, we should get a group of Minis together and all roll in at the same time.

Ha, the guy with the red FJ is a friend of my uncles'. That blue shifter kart is ridiculously fast.
Last time I went, a fight broke out between the owner of a white R35 GT-R and some kid who was launching it out in the street. Pretty interesting little meet-up!

I went pretty late due to a possible car sale. My buddy was there with his relatively rare '87 535is, but I showed up with a new acquisition ...
Granted, it was on a flatbed, but it sure was pretty.

Is that an E9?!
Yep. It's a 1973 Euro (Imported by Heinz Meis - President of Gemballa North America
) 3.0 CS that someone in the 80s decided to turn into an early CSL replica.
It is in need of alot of restoration ... Floorboards and trunk are rotted out. Rear windscreen hoop is rotted out. Rocker panels are rotted out. Passenger rear strut mount failed and the damper busted through the strut tower and punched out one of the rear speakers from the rear deck.
It seems that even in the 1970s, BMW couldn't get the hang of manufacturing strut mounts.
