selling my mini-advice?
 

I am considering selling my 2005 Cooper S. I have about 69,400 miles on it, and it's in good condition. Carmax appraised it at $8,000. I wanted to double check this offer, and Patrick Mini came in at $7,000. Is this a good deal? Would anywhere else give me a better offer? I tried Bill Jacobs, but they weren't even accepting any used cars. I am not looking to trade in for another car, just to sell.

I would sell it myself for $9,500

Put it on Craigs list . It is free and you will probably sell it pretty fast. If they want to give you a check you need to drive to """THEIR""" Bank and let them cash it and hand you the greenbacks. Then buy a cashiers check so you won't get robbed on your way home. That way they will have the car and you will have the cash and everybody will be happy.

Remember:: No checks, No cashiers check, no money orders, Either they bring cash or you follow them to """THEIR""" bank.

Selling yourself is the only way to get the best value for your car. Dealers need to re-sell it to make their profit.

Great advice. The only downside to selling privately is tire kickers and time wasters, but if it means a few grand extra in your pocket, it's probably worth it.

I have an 05 hatchback std mini it is listed for $7300.00 in the blue book, I am trying for $8000.00 thought I had a buyer he never showed up before that I had 2 scammers I have it listed on craigslist so be careful!!
