I've never sold a car
 

Planning to sell my 2004 mini. It's been a great car, but I barely drive anymore, live in the city and figure stop paying for a car for once! And i'm sure someone else will enjoy it. But I've never sold a car, usually they are old and I just donate them to charity.

I live in chicago, downtown...what do I need to do to sell a car, i mean like titile stuff, payment so I make sure I don't get scam.

i don't have too much experience with it, but you will want to make a
sales receipt (just find a generic one online and copy it), have address
and signatures of both parties agreeing to an 'AS-IS' car and price.

then go to the bank together, deposit the payment, sign the title to
release it, cry for your biggest mistake (:wink: :lol: ), and hand him/her
the keys.

Yeah, I'm going to regret selling the car..is already bothering me and I just put up an ad last night.

But, it's for the best.

Does your DMV have receipts already made up.

Here in Ontario Canada, the MTO sells a buyers package, which you should get, tells you history, number of owners, and includes a sales receipt as well.
