I find that true about most things in Toronto.
Anyway the 50th Birthday party sounds like it will be at least interesting.

I'll post up some pics soon, traffic was awful comming home, the major highway we took had 2 out of 3 lanes blocked for construction . I'm beat.
Tonnes of MINI's. I heard it was sold out so I guess that meant 500 cars were there. Most were the newer BMW MINIs but there were a few older ones as well.
I even saw two cars with New York plates.
Overall a good time. More info to come later.
Off to bed now.

Traffic was bad going there, rush hour, accidents, normal slow pace. Our convoy down got quite broken up by that.
Getting in was smooth and quick, everybody got pre registered at their dealership and was given a window sticker that got you in.
Gokarting was fun. And if you go by their posted rates the wife and I used up about $80 worth of laps.(MINI paid for it)
They had some music playing and some dance team.
Got a bag FULL of candy .
They were tossing out shirts from the stage. Unfortunately some people were greedy. I saw a few people get around 4+ shirts each. I managed to get one, one for the wife would have been nice.
There was a scavenger hunt to get certain photos, in order and the prize was a set of Continentals.
The dealerships participated in a design challenge.
And after dark the played the Italian Job. With lots of honking every time a MINI came on screen.
Overall it was a fun time.

Hey MINIacs:
I created the Toronto MINI Club, as a chapter of the SOMC, and am working on a website with forums. For now, we have a Facebook group for our discussions.
