For those of you who might be in the area...

What: Dyno Day

When: 11/17/07, 9am to 5pm

Where: 45064-B Underwood Ln
Sterling, VA 20166

Details:

If you haven't seen us advertise this before, dyno day offers the chance to get a baseline or updated dyno numbers on your car for a smaller fee than on normal workdays. Cost is $75 for 2WD or AWD cars, and $25 additional for air/fuel analysis. Slots are 40 minutes, which is usually enough for 3-4 pulls. (Actually more, if you want...) It's a great social educational event, too, as lots of people come to watch and compare notes.

You can take away your dyno results on a USB key (hint: Bring your own USB key!), so you can store/analyze/post your results to your heart's content.

You must call us at (703) 435-5000 to reserve a slot. Each of our previous dyno days has been sold out, with a wait list. Have your credit card ready to hold your slot.

Baltimore County Bridges and Backroads Blitz

Hey Y'all

Today I finished plotting out and running the route for the aprez-breakfast run for this Saturday, November 17.

The route starts at MINI of Towson and runs for 59.3 miles (drove it twice to double check distances) around the Loch Raven watershed and nearby towns.

As the name implies, the majority of the route, once we escape Towson, consists of winding coutry roads. We'll pass over the reservoir and streams numerous times. While a couple of bridges are new, most are the old steel span bridges. I even included a trip through Baltimore County's only covered bridge.

If you're a fan of twisties, this is the route for you.

The leaves are starting to turn bright yellow and red on many of the trees. If they stay on the trees through the weekend, it should make the ride as enjoyable for the passengers as it is for the drivers.

Following the run, we will stop at www.andynelsonsbbq.com for lunch. Andy Nelson, a former Baltimore Colt and transplanted Alabama native, makes incredible southern style ribs and pulled pork barbeque along with other delicious dishes.

Hope to see you there.

Bill
