Updated Info RMW (Jan) Tune - Louisville, KY

I spoke with Jan today. Below are additional details for our tune event on June 13 and 14. Once again the tune event will be held at:

AUTOLAB
10305 Jefferson St # 1
Louisville, KY 40299
(502) 266-6646

Dyno cost will be $100 PER HOUR. Hopefully we’ll be able to get each car off in 1 hour or less. Some will take longer, depending on set up.
Confirmed Tune cost:
R50/R53 cost: $350 + the above dyno time.
R56/R55 cost: $600 + the above dyno time
We will be paying Jan for both the tune and the dyno time. He will then pay the dyno shop. This should speed things up during the day. The dyno shop has committed to having staff on hand all day.
We will start at 9am on Saturday, and can go as late as 9pm. We’ll begin again at 9am Sunday, and go until we’re done.
Jan would like to book no more than 8 cars per day. We currently have 11 YES and 13 maybe. If you’re on the maybe list, be advised the first FIVE cars to convert to YES will get the remaining guaranteed spots. All others will be on a waiting list. If you want to trade time slots, work it out, and then tell me what's changing.
We’d like to book out of town cars on Saturday, the earlier the better. This will allow for any issues to be resolved with the out of town cars so they can get a successful tune before the end of Sunday.
I have attached a spreadsheet showing who’s signed up and whether you’re a YES or MAYBE. You are on the sheet in the order that you contacted me originally about the tune. Please tell me what date/time slot you want and I’ll update and repost. Time slots will be done on a first come first served basis, so please provide THREE dates/times you can get the tune. I’ll try and get everyone into one of the three requested time slots. Time slot priority will be given to the "YES' cars. Davisflyer has already requested Sunday, so you get first choice on a slot for Sunday.
PLEASE ARRIVE AT LEAST 30 MINUTES BEOFRE YOUR TIME, IN CASE WE'RE RUNNING AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. You can also call my cell to get an update: 502-523-1525.

Finally, Jan asks that we all do the following prior to the event:
  • New air cleaner
  • New spark plugs
  • R53’s only: be sure that there is ¾ of a hole showing on the belt tensioner
Thanks everyone,

Fritz

I hadn't thought about the out of town scenario, perhaps I should try for late afternoon/evening on Saturday in case something goes amiss??

The only problem is that I can't leave Knoxville until Saturday morning after dropping the kids off. I think it's about a 4 hour drive.

I am getting ready to move back to KY, but my High School Reunion is that weekend so it might conflict slightly. I want to be a maybe. Hopefully I will get all my mods in place before then. As long as I get my next career firmed down. Anyone know of any career opportunities for a Naval Officer with 10 years of Engineering, Nuclear, and Operations Management experience? I might just take a trip up from BG to hang out with everyone.

Scribbless - you're down as a maybe. Check out GEcareers.com. Not sure if we're hiring any engineers right now, but it doesn't hurt to check it out.

Any info out there on the DynoDynamics dyno's?? I've heard they are heart breakers, but are they good to tune on??

Jan was fine with us using the dyno dynamics, so that's good enough for me. I'm more about Jan's touch than the dyno....

I hope to be able to attend this event. I will be coming from west virginia, and I am just a re-tune. Anyone going to be installing injectors there? I plan on running 440s but would much rather put them on there as opposed to driving from WV with them installed without a tune.

MUShadd - What day are you coming; Sat or Sun? What time slot do you want? The tune shop may be able to do the swap for you. Professor may be able to do it too.

I am hoping for Saturday, but I am unclear as to what timeslots are still available. I would like an AM appointment, but not too early as I do have a bit of a drive. looks like 1030 or 12p would be my top choices, or even 2p. ...depending on whats spoken for.
