Regarding Mini Cooper 2003 Triptonic

Hi
I'm kinda new in automobile sector. I recently bought a mini cooper 2003 model.. 17K kms .. now my question is why this little car is so expensive than other hatchback car like ford focus / etc etc even some nissan car as well.. What make this car so expensive...

If anyone kind enough to give a brief reasons would be much appriciated.

Thanks

Because they are worth it.

A Focus is a Ford and they are having trouble selling them. Here in southern CA you still have to pay over MSRP to buy a new MINI a lot of places, even after five years since they hit the market

what im wondering is if you really bought and own a MINI why do you still have to ask if it better than a ford focus. something doesnt sound right to me. one drive should really answer that question for you i would think.

Because it's a BMW without the BMW service....

Because they can and people buy them

Because they import them from Britain

Because cars in Oz are freaking expensive

All MINIs sold in Australia have 4 cylinder 1.6 litre engines.

You're probably a bit better off inside a MINI too should you be unlucky enough to be in accident.

Ultimately though, BMW wouldn't sell the MINI if they couldn't charge a premium price for it. Let's face it would you rather say you drive a MINI or a Ford?
