April's Motoring Event
 

This month's event will be a lot of fun! We are heading up to Mountain View, AR for the White River Auto Club Car Show on April 28th. This year they will also be having a swap meet, flea market, and crafts. They have been putting this car show on for years so I'm expecting a lot of really cool cars.http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/transport035.gif

One of our member's friends has graciously allowed us to stay in their cabin for the weekend. We will leave Little Rock Friday evening after work and stay till Sunday. They are also allowing us to set up tents if we like. http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/happy070.gif There is a fire pit so we can have smores! http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/ad/fire.gif There is still some room available inside the cabin. First come, first choice. If you are interested in being apart and want to stay at the cabin let me know. If you would rather stay at a hotel the Fiddler's Inn will be giving a discount to those who come for the car show.

We will be participating in the car show Saturday. Registration is only $8 in advance, $10 day of if you want to have your MINI judged and just $3 if you want to just show your MINI. They will have several types of awards, unfortunately, due to our class, we are not allowed to win best of show, BUT there are others we can win: Largest Club, People's Choice, Mayor's Trophy, Distance.

Saturday we can do lunch or afternoon treat at the Pharmacy Soda Fountain (which I hear has awesome food and treats!),http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/merv/cone.gif supper at Tommy's Famous Pizzeria,http://www.boardsmilies.com/smilies/...racter0254.gif and then head over to watch a movie at the Stone Drive-In.http://www.boardsmilies.com/smilies/party/party0051.gif

Sunday is the really fun day! We'll be motoring hwy 341! http://www.boardsmilies.com/smilies/...racter0182.gifThis is a favorite with motorcycle enthusiast! http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/transport031.gif It has been rated as one of the favorite roads in Arkansas.

The cabin was wonderful. We ended up not going to the drive-in, but did our Hwy 341 motor on Saturday instead. Hwy 341 is a fun, fun road, curvy, but watch the gravel in places.

Wood's Pharmacy has great food. Tommy's Famous Pizzeria was outstanding as well. We had breakfast at the Rainbow Cafe on Main St. and that was really good also. (Just know to have cash, Wood's was the only one to accept credit cards out of these three restaurants.)

Thanks to our Mt. View MINI member who showed us so much hospitality. You were awesome!! KUDOS

Saturday night we sat around the camp fire,http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/ad/fire.gif cooked smores, and fellowshipped. A good down time after a big day of motorin'.
