You may have been in "that leisurely paced novice group", but at least you were out there! I sure wish I could have been. Kind of hard to shoot an assignment AND drive at the same event!
I'll have more photos from the whole day up sometime this weekend.

I was spectating so you had more fun than I did. I had other things to do that day. I got to do the sedate lunch laps and look at the track at least. I like the go fast bits on your car. I forsee a faster pace in your future.

 

Here is a short clip of the event. First we have an opening lap with the Orange car in front. Then an Intermission while the Porsche is cleared away. Then the lap where the Incident happens after the restart. You can see smoke from the Grey cars tire as it approaches the corner and the Orange car closes right in. The Grey car gets going a bit and then bogs again at the next corner. Unfortunately I stopped the camera as I was watching what was happening. The Grey car bogged again on the straight and the Orange car closed in, moved right a bit and then bounced up as they contacted. I spoke with two people near me and we all saw the same thing.

Thanks for the compliments... I see a faster pace in my future too... at the next Phil Wicks event I can make... Willow or Fontana. I had a blast.
