FS: Alta 19mm rear swaybar
FS: Alta 19mm rear swaybar
SOLD!
I had this bar installed on my car at the Dragon last May. It started squeaking, I got tired of it, Alta was completely unhelpful, and I simply don't want it badly to bother with greasing, etc. I replaced the stock bar back in February.
There are around 10,000 miles on the bar. The paint has peeled up from both ends (see photo), but otherwise it's in great shape.
They're not in the photos, but I also have the metal pieces that fit around the bushings.
I don't recall exactly, but I think I paid around $180 for this, and they seem to be going for about that same price now. I'm looking for $100 plus shipping.

bump... here's a post where Alta mentions the bushings kits, which cost $15 and include grease. This may help with the squeaking issue.

Why do you say those are not poly bushings, if I may pry? From the pic it sure looks like they could be poly...

Bump... still available for $110.
My mechanic said they were rubber, and they're black - for some reason I thought the poly ones would be lighter. In any case, they squeak like hell on my car.

A simple way to ship sway bars is to use just slip foam pipe insulation over the bar to protect it and it's surroundings (i.e., the kind used on residential water pipes). I've shipped a number of Ford Taurus bars this way via Fed-Ex ground with no problems.
