WTS - Scorpion Exhaust

SOLD

Hi! I'm selling my Scorpion catback exhaust for the MINI Cooper S (I'm selling my car so I'm removing all of the aftermarket parts). It was made to fit the '02-03 exhaust hangers, but it actually works fine on my '04+ style hangers as well (It worked fine on mine which was a Feb '04 build). It has about 20k miles on it but it's in great condition. I'll be pulling it off of the car Sunday morning, so I can post pictures then.

I will drive up to 2 hours to meet the potential buyer.

I heard this exhaust -- this particular exhaust -- when he came by my place this weekend to swap wheels. It sounds GREAT!! As he drove up the car sounded so good I had to ask him about it.....in fact, I think the first thing I said while we were still shaking hands was "is that the Scorpion exhaust?"

No bumble bees, no raspiness, just a nice growl. It's nice and solid and has an oval, angle cut, dual pipe tip.

I don't know anything about how it performs, but it definitely looks good and sounds great -- ****** it up!!!!

It's a great sounding exhaust that doesn't "drone" or "boom" (I didn't want anything to interfere with my HK ). It felt like it freed up the top end power a bit, but I never dyno'd it. It's a mandrel bent, parallel flow design, so I'm sure it offers as much of a performance gain as any other system out there.

how's the seal work with clamps and paste? we've got a slip-fit MillTek on the cabrio and it doesn't seal, no matter what we do.

These joints are slip-fit as well, but I never had any problems with the seals & never had to use any sort of paste. There was no evidence of any sort of leak when I pulled the exhaust either, so the slip fits worked well for this system I guess you could always throw some RTV on if you want to err on the side of caution when installing, but you should be fine without

Bump - I found some boxes in my basement from when I moved last, so I can pack & ship this. Shipping should be less than $50 (I'll use ups.com to get the rate depending on zip code).
