I'm in the market for an inlet manifold pretty urgently, and I'd need it to be shipped to Colorado to arrive at about Thursday.

No idea who they are :D. I'm really not wanting to spend a silly amount either (not sure how much they are new)... and its hard for me to contact people over there unless they're quick with their emails with time difference etc.

 

Schomp is Colorado's only MINI dealer. Do you have part numbers? I can check for you.

Web Motorsports (also in Denver) may have one or two that may have come out of a car that they've worked on. They can be kind of hard to reach though. I hear that they will be at MITM.

I called the parts guys at Schomp MINI to ask about an inlet manifold for you. Evidently it is the same part for all 2002 to 2006 MINI Ss.

A brand new part would cost $225 (US) and they can order it in and have it available in 3 days if you are interested.

I also called Webb Motorsports and asked (via voice mail) if they have any available that they've taken off another car. I don't have high hopes for a return call from them, they seem to be buried in business.

No worries Mate, glad to help out a fellow motorer. If you use Schomp, you'll need to have your order in early on Monday to have it shipped in by Thursday. By the way, there will be a small contingent of MINIs at the racetrack in Pueblo Colorado if you're interested in joining in.

I was in Australia a few years back (1987 or so) and had a strange coincidence. Climbing Ayer's Rock, I saw a guy hauling a bicycle wheel all the way up. Not an everyday sight. Years later, I was comparing travel notes with a fellow MINI owner and discovered that he was the one I saw at the rock. I also had my first experience driving a Moke on that trip. What a kick!
