best looking cat-back system I've seen yet, but how does it sound? A quiet purr or a loud growl when you really step on it hard?

he purrs pretty loud once you pet him. And at night he Rrawr loud.

A few questions

I was wondering if your cat at least had its front claws taken out if not both? Since you said neutered I assumed its a male. Is it your dog that has a problem with the cat? Or the cat with the dog? And do you have any litter box issues?
