I just filed my PayPal resolution. I paid for the item on PayPal credit just in case something like this happened. This is the first time after hundreds of transactions something like this has happened....too bad.

Here's hoping, this will have a happy resolution for all. Greg with his money and all of us buyers with their goods.

Same old Crap

Ol Greg came thru again. This morning he said we would have the tracking info in a few hours...here it is, 8 hours later and no info.

I'm not doing anymore, I'm going to let PayPal handle it now. This guy is unbelievable! What a way to leave the MINI community is an understatment.

Tracking Numbers

Are you kidding? We have been promised tracking numbers since day 1.

If you haven't already done it, file a resolution with PalPal or your credit card company. Good luck!

Sorry it got to this....

After being promised shipping info for 3 days and have heard nothing from GT_Greg, I have now raised the PayPal dispute to a claim. Sorry, it has gotten to this point, but there seems to be no other way.

The stories don't match

I too received thru PayPal that the shipper is "Canada Air" and there is no tracking number. How can some get a tracking number but no shipper, and some get the shipper and no tracking number? This really should not be this complicated Greg, come on, come clean and tell us all what is going on.

all products left canada post air. im sure it will be faster than 6 days however i left a buffer in case. after all this, id hate to say 3 days and then it be 4 and people get upset again.

all tracking numbers were emailed out, one at a time, one after the other.

I'm again hopeful...

Just received a PM from Greg with his cell number. Seems some had a tracking number, some didn't (me being one of them that did not, hence the confusion). Combined with his personal cell and the fact that at least one with a tracking number saw the packages were sent, I'll wait and see.

This has to be the most protracted buy through this site I've ever been involved in, but such is life. If everybody gets what they paid for, all will be in the past and time to move on to more mods.

sorry to hear about everyone's issue with this dude.

I'm kind of glad he refused to answer PMs about his products.

Hope everyone gets their stuff.

Wow, I've been following this thread since the beginning. Just another example of why I think the users LOCATION should be mandatory and not optional, especially if they are posting in the FS section...course I realize the days are numbered for this method of selling since a new system will replace it.

Sorry -but a location, how exactly could that help.
Lets take a small town like.........Cleveland, for example....there are not crooks in Cleveland? ,or Orlando, or LA,or????

A location would only provide a false sense of security.

The best measure is to pay with a credit card, directly or PayPal. It gives you some options, like dispute, and fraud. All credit card companies provide different security measures, But ALL(Visa & MAster Card) are provided the same security through the V & MC associations.

You can find the best info by doing some googgle searches.
If anyone has any particular questions, PM me and I will try to help. I worked in the industry for a few years.

All the measures in place are to help the consumer, the issue comes up when the crooks circumvent the measures.

Be sure to file your PayPal disputes just in case. I think they give you a 30 or 60 day window to file. (seems this one could be coming up on it) after that you are pretty much SOL.
Hope you all get your stuff.

I'm not willing to call GT_Greg a crook. Lax in communication, possibly, a bit sluggish in shipping sure, but I'm not willing to go to the crook level. The reason, especially in this case, where location would have been helpful is that we now find out the items are coming from Canada, where all kinds of customs complications and delays are possible.

I shipped one of my "Bug-Guards" to a customer in the Netherlands, Priority Mail, and due to delays in customs it to 8 weeks to get there. However, with custom tracking numbers and constant communication between the buyer and me, after three weeks, and my willingness to PayPal a refund on the spot, he grew patient and finally the "Guard" arrived safe and sound.

To me communication is the key, but especially with items coming from outside the US, location does help in explaining delays.

Just my 2 cents,

Gene

+1

This is exactly why the location is important. Just the same I've seen various JCW stuff on here being sold from Italy--can you imagine the cost of shipping to the USA a set of seats if you didn't know it was coming from Italy?? LOL. Just wasted time.

On a similar note, I've got customers in South Africa and shipments take a VERY long time to get there--several months in fact when shipped by USPS.

I have to agree with Greg. I think it was just a mixup in shipping instructions to his people. He has apologized to all of us and has even provided an arrival date for the merchandise and his personal phone number to call him in case of any further problems. After the product is received I will post a confirmation on this post. Regards to all, Frank
