Any interest in M7 strut brace?

I am seriously thinking of buying the M7 anniversary model that is due out in October, which is in black chrome and retails for 75% more than the one I now have on my Mini. These braces certainly do the job, as I do not even have a hint of a mushrooming strut tower. The one I have is less than a year old, as I bought my vehicle on 7/15/06 and originally had the JCW strut brace on it until I upgraded to the sturdier M7 I now have, which is black anodized aluminum. Actually, I half expected to see others adverising the sale of their existing M7 strut braces for the very same reason, but I do not see any ads here to speak of. So this is just a feeler folks and I wouldn't want to part with mine until I had the replacement for it. Original cost was $199 ( http://www.m7tuning.com/parts/produc...products_id=29 ) and I'll take best offer who can accomodate waiting about 5 weeks. Let me hear ya!

Is it a direct bolt on or do I need to do some modding for a 2003 MC? Anyway, I'm very interested in it. Please keep me posted.

I have an '06 and I simply bolted it onto the 2 towers, although there are bolts to adjust the fit within the brace itself. If I recall correctly you use an allen wrench, as these are hex-type bolts. Watch the video that the link will get you to and you will see what I mean.

To my knowledge the brace is designed to fit '02 - '06 and the application is identical for all. However, if you have any concern, I suggest you simply phone M7 and ask, as they are generally helpful in answering any sort of questions like this one.

i can t believe nobody has been reminded of the fact that the board rules require a price and you can not auction things off. Please respect the rules and post a price.

He said it was just a feeler, so he may sell it, may not...and I was just playing around... (kicks the dirt and walks away)

Sorry if you think this was an improper post. Technically, it was not an auction; I didn't ask people to bid, as much as to give me an idea of what interest may exist should I decide to upgrade my brace. As I said, I was not ready to part with it until I had it replaced and I needed to know as much as anything if waiting was something I could expect a buyer to do.

I agree. I am out. $150 was my max, especially when I can get a new one for $200.00

FYI:

The shipping charge from M7 was $15. The STB was shipped 11/15/06, so it will be approximately 11 months old when it would be sent to its new home.

BTW, the STB is in prime condition; not a scratch on it and I can provide a copy of the M7 installation instructions for anyone who might want them too.

Looks like you don't need my auctioneering skills anymore

Glad to see it's up to $160 so far

Whoever waits for this will be getting a good STB
