Anyone out there have an adhesive gun sitting around collecting dust from there JCW roof spoiler install that they would be willing to loan out or sell?

 

The JCW wing..if you got it new....comes with an adhesive tape. I just installed mine with the supplied parts and no problems.

One thing however. After you pop off the OEM wing there will be a lip of clearcoat showing from where the OEM wing was glued on. I used some Meguiars Scratch-X to buff down the clear coat.

Where did you get your spoiler and the install kit?

When I called the dealer to order the spoiler I was told I needed an adhesive kit and an adhesive gun to apply the adhesive in the kit. $90 for the adhesive gun!!!! I recalled the DIY article in the summer 2006 issue of MC2 and when I looked up the article they said the adhesive gun was needed. This is an old article so maybe the newer adhesive kits don't require the gun.

 

I got mine grom Northwest MINI and had it shipped to me here in Korea. It was installed at my tuner shop.

 

Thanks for your help! I found some other install info in the forums as well. Sounds like there are a couple ways to do the install.
