I can't believe how early we'll be there. Of course it takes me 5 hours to leave town so I better start getting ready now.

 

Teresa, we want to help with the NSW dinner supplies, both by getn stuff that will be needed and by hepin with da haulin. I am very excited! It looks like I will be coming out there! Waiting for confirmation from my copilot. Looks like there might be 2 Mini's coming from Utah!! almost 1900 Miles one way! Cant freakin wait!!

Looks like we will have our family vacation at the end of the month in Gatlinburg so we will do the Dragon but a bit earlier than everyone else.
Maybe we'll make it next year if the school schedule gets it right. I can't wait! Never driven it before!

 

Lucked into a Fontana rsvp, so we're cancelling at the Appalacian Inn.

It will be so nice to get in, get settled, feel NSW at the dinner, jam amidst the cigar salon, saunter back to the room- And wake up Friday at MOTD! Can't Wait!

ill be leaving wednesday as well. stupid UAB has their graduation on saturday and my daughter will be in it so ill be leaving fontana saturday morning. if theyd have checked with me id have told them they should have it the week after.

 

First I have to say our first ride on the Dragon was so freaking awesome! I smiled so big my molars were shinning. Serious, I was kackling! My husband who is a Harley rider is trying to nail down another date when we can go back with the bike ASAP. He drove the VW Beetle with the boys and Hayley and I followed in my Mini. We had perfect weather and pretty low traffic....speaking if which...

Pigeon Forge has become a traffic nightmare from Hell. Not even enough lanes to accomidate the traffic. We have been there several times and have never seen it this bad. We sat through one traffic light for 3 changes moving only a few feet, and that was midday on Friday. It was like that from Thursday thru Sunday. We left out from Gatlinburg a different route. There was an Antique Car thing going on but the shop owners said it will pretty much be like that all thru the summer.

I SO wish the dates had worked out for us to do MOTD. Maybe next year.

Just about ready to peak but I still have to work tomorrow. My graphics just came back WRONG, but there's time for Skidmore to correct them. Stephen is giving a look over (freshly washed) Car 84 right now, and most everything is home, packed and ready to load. My last minute fontana upgrade is a secluded room with a parking lot and hose pipe spigot. Can you detect that I am as antsy as I am thrilled? Oh yeah, my fiancee is driving up from GA and we're meeting at Fontana when I get there. I CANNOT WAIT!!!!

 

Has been fighting a cold for 7 days now.... Plus no stop for the working..... Plus no stop for the pre Dragon mods...... and as of right now, I don't even have the energy to wax the rims while they are off of Coop. Going to Doc in the Morning if not better tell her I want that miracle drug....So I still kickin, and planning on being at the WH at 8:45 Thursday morn.
