Foster kitty

Yucca and I are fostering a cat for the Friends of Cats and Dogs Foundation http://fcdf.org/ here in Birmingham. They pay for her vet care and we provide for her daily needs. We are looking for a loving indoor only home for her. Below is a couple of photos and the "write up" that is going to be posted on www.petfinder.com and on the FCDF website. Please help us out by passing this on to anyone in the area who might be interested. Thanks !!!!!!!

This little girl’s name is Lily. Lily was born to a stray mother in Homewood. A cat lover sometimes fed her and allowed her in the house. She has been in her new foster home only a short time, but she has already endeared herself. We estimate that she was born in September or so. She is still very small. She has a particularly round face and cute little ears. She is deep grey and black with a little cocoa color around her mouth and on her belly. She has very very soft, short fur. It is clear that she loves human attention and craves warmth. When you hold her, she clings close. When snuggling in the bed, she purrs, rubs you with her forehead, “makes biscuits” with her paws, and even rolls over to let you pet her chest. When feeling unsure, she has an adorable habit of burrowing deep under the comforter or pillows. She has already met our other cats. While she is a little timid with them, she seems very adaptable. We have yet to introduce her to our dogs but don’t anticipate that she will mind.

She has received a thorough vet check up and is up to date on shots and negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV. She will be spayed prior to adoption. We are sure that she will become a devoted lap cat and snuggle buddy in the right home. We will provide updates as we get to know this sweet little girl. We love to have her with us but hope to find her a home so that we can help another cat in need.

Lily, the beautiful tabby foster found her new home. We have a new foster now

I would like to formally introduce our new foster, Mr. TUNA, to the NAM community!

Mr. TUNA will be looking for his forever home after he finishes his shots on March 9. Mr. TUNA seems to do just fine with other cats (if only our large male would leave him alone!!!!!!!) He LOVES attention from humans and has tip toed around the dogs with caution (while they slept) so far.

Check out the fcdf site if you like:
