SHORT NOTICE - Sorry

We met tonight and looked at the Calendar and decided that this Sunday, November 13, is a good day for the Covered Bridge Tour. We will travel around Blount County and view and drive through three covered bridges. We will meet in the Target parking lot on Hwy 11 in Trussville at 12:30 pm and depart at 1:00 pm for a 100 miles/3-hour tour. It should be a pretty ride with the leaves changing color. We should be back by 4:30 PM and then go to the Sonic Drive-In in Trussville for a bite to eat. If you can't make the ride we will see you there afterwards.

Put on your calendar also the collection ride for Toys for Tots on December 10. More info later, just keep the date clear for the time being.

 

What is the 459 exit number for Target (Hwy 11)

 

But it is the second one past I-20 exit. 1st one past I-20 is race course, and second one is it. Can't miss it, its the last one before you have to get on I-59.

 

Take exit #137 onto I-459 SOUTH toward MONTGOMERY/ATLANTA - go 0.6 mi

Take exit #32 onto US-11 NORTH toward TRUSSVILLE - go 4.7 mi

Target on left.

 

Yucca and I might not make it. Must take my parents to the airport (at least it isn't about FOOTBALL ) We will see what we can do.

 

I thought the exit # was 31, but it is the second one after I-20, but target is only about a mile on the left after you go right to merge onto Us hwy 11 N. If you get off I-459 and on US 11 N you can't miss it.

With rain in the forecast, do we still want to do this event?


www.weather.com shows a few showers beginning about 11:00am, with thunderstorms around 4:00pm.

 

I am still planning on coming. There is only a chance for a few showers during the day & the chance is the greatest in NW Alabama.

 

We were only going to join up with the group at Sonic since my in-laws' plane leaves this afternoon.

If the event is delayed then we'd be able to come along on the next one but we're just as happy to swing by the Sonic later this afternoon

 

I don't believe I will be coming today so don't wait up for me. :smile: Yes I'm being lazy today.

It was another great ride and great day to be in a MINI with other MINI owners. Thanks Greg for all your efforts to make it happen.

 

Had a great time. I can't believe I have lived in Alabama for most of my life & that was the first time I have ever seen the covered bridges. Looking forward to seeing everyone on the 10th.
