I think they started this sometime near the beginning of August. They have a lot of info on it at the tail of the dragon website. Hopefully they will get over their fascination with that road soon as they are getting massive complaints.

 

I've been keeping up with this since my brother told me about the THP convoy last week he saw while up there. He made the weekend without a ticket but he said for the most part kept it 25mph or slower. That is. Until he got to the NC side. I've been visiting Tailofthedragon.com daily since then. It's a little rediculous.

BTW, instead of telling people not to cross the line. We can now just say "don't be a wrong lane leo".

 

They have more law enforcement on The Dragon than we have in all of AL... except for next week.

 

Erm, tonight I believe. We saw ten cruisers at least, on the way to the Trussville movie house tonight. Maybe the THP too, has a mandatory work weekend (period).

 

I think the Pelham police started the push early too. On my way home from work Friday I saw 3 blue lights with people pulled over getting tickets in a 5 mile stretch of Hwy 31.
