Cancer Benefit Ride?
I want to tell everyone what a great time I had. It was my first time to lead such a large group
& I think everything went well except for those last few miles of Hwy 25. Sorry I thought everyone knew my intent was to drive those 3 miles of curves like a scalded dog & meet up with everyone on Elliott Lane. For those that didn't...
Oopsie, my bad
We will get better with bigger events once we get a few more under our belts.
The car count estimate was around 27 cars

Thanks to all the LBC's that joined us. Thanks to our new friends in the black cabrio that passed by us & decided WTH, U-turned, & joined our line. Many thanks to all who bought decals. When I first started this I had hoped our lil group might raise a couple of hundred bucks for the American Cancer Society but... while I am still working on the final donation talley, on my first draft it appears that...
we raised $620 for the ACS

(I will let you guys know the final total when I write the check to the ACS)
Thanks to Mrs. Skurvy & Trinity07 for bringing the banner to us & joining us on our ride.
I hope the Birmingham British Motoring Club will join us again for a future ride.
Petey the puppy had fun but now it's time for a nap.
Many many many thanks to all. Until the next one...

Mr. Skurvy and I had a fabulous time! Thanks so much for heading up this even bamatt and WOWIE!!! That's great news about the moolah ya'll raised for the American Cancer Society.
Hopefully we can find someone to take the banner next... maybe Sunshine MINIs in Florida???
Again, thanks so much for the drive and introducing us to Milo's... definitely a new burger experience!
Until next time... Happy Motoring!

Great run, everybody. Your parade through Talledega to Munford must have been an eye-opener. As we were behind you all by a few minutes headed to the 66, a motorcycle cop strode up to us and led us through town to catch the group- Went so far as to usher us off by implying we could speed ahead.
Nice group, nice people with the British and Atlanta folks in the mix. Milo's was good- as our nap will attest. Hope everyone's gotten the sauce out of their fingernails by now.
Happy to be in the pack of scalded dogs for those three miles (too bad about the cruiser slowing things somewhat).

Glad the Atlanta folks got home safely. Thanks for meeting us and really stretching your trip to lunch with us. Maybe someday you all can introduce us to Atlanta's hambuger mecca - Vortex.
We've put out a feeler to the Smoky Mtn MINI bunch to accept the banner.

that's awesome!
Time well spent :D
What a wonderful day. After the storms and light show last night I had my doubts we would make it. This was my 2nd ride and now I can't wait for the next. This best part of the whole thing for me is making new friends, we can never have too many, can we? I appreciate all the miles covered by our Hotlanta friends. And the B'ham Brit cars were such an added bonus!
Bamatt, I'll say it again, I'm glad it was you in charge and not me.
Well done girl, you pulled it off.
Needless to say I came home and fell into a temporary coma.
I wouldn't have missed this for nutin"

I had a great time yesterday! It was so nice to meet all of you, hopefully we can all get together again sometime soon. Thanks to Bamatt for the fun drive and event, congrats on raising so much money for such a good cause!
Here's one of the pics I took yesterday, the rest are in my NAM gallery (the link to it is on the far right under my location and post #). I know some of them are blurry or a little off kilter, I guess thats what I get for taking pics while driving!

Where are the rest of the pix???? I thought with all the digital camera folk there would be a buttload of pix by now. I saw several people shooting away. My camera died so I have nothing to offer for a while. My birthday's around the corner though
Thanx Trinity for posting my Boot'y shots! I'm tickled to make the thread
