What was your favorite / least favorite part of MOTD this year?
Those of you taking digs at Atlanta MINIs should be ashamed! AM is an outstanding club, doing a lot for the MINI community. Instead of using your negative energy to criticize and backbite, why not try using it to improve things? But it is a lot easier to complain about those actually doing the work than to do anything yourself, isn't it?
Mark,
I have to express how sick I am for all the greif and bitching! Personally, I really appreciate your hard work and have enjoyed our last 3 MOTD's that I have attended, and will continue to attend in the future. (However, we were last minute participants this year or we would have registered for more.) I cannot understand why people are not just gateful for what is offered and make the best of what is a very well planned event. The "nothing is good enough no matter what you do" ego people have growing out their ears has really turned me off to message boards lately.
Now, Everyone needs to say "thank you very much" for a great MOTD 2008
or stay at home next year
Jessica

I just think we need to be grateful for what we have and stop looking to the past for negativity
. . . too bad that backfired on me
-I loved the Movie and missed it this year! I hope that it can come back sometime.
-I like the 4 day format, The wife suggested that the 2010 event could be situated Friday-Monday. Might be a little easier on people's schedules that way. (I think it's too late for 09)
-Monte Carlo Night was a blast again!
-My daughter really enjoyed Little Dragons - Thanks Pamela!
-Loved the Geocaching Meet - Thanks Professor Zoom!
-Seeing everyone at the parade was fun! (Thanks Steve for your help!)
-Loved the Prima Car Wash station!
-The car show was cool! Maybe we could vote for an "attendee pick" as one of the categories next year?

It's hard work to plan a gimungo rally. I applaud the effort.
My favorite part this year was the AM dinner. Least favorite was the LEO activity and traffic.
I'm rallied-out though and only come up to mingle a little. Whatever y'all do will always be fine with me. But, then again, I live close and can slay the dragon any time I want...
Take a look at how Bill Dutcher has grown and handled the logistics and egos with the Americade Rally. Call him and chat a little; he's a pretty clever guy and can probably give some great pointers.
His little rally gets more than 50,000 attendees a year --- without drama...

Oh, King, eh? Very nice. And how did you get that, eh? By exploiting the workers! By hanging on to outdated imperialist dogma which perpetuates the economic and social differences in our society....

Mark,
I hope you did not take my post from last week as an indictment of the job you are doing and have been doing. It is a large, and largly thankless job, or at least may seem that in time. So thank you for a great MOTD 2008, and I will see you again in 2009!

Some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me...
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.
I think we may have just found the "MOTD '09 Drive-In Movie" feature.....
This thread needed it....badly.....

Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to let you all know that we did not enjoy the rain storm while taking your group panorama picture this year, but wanted to let you know that the images are beautiful in spite of the rain. In fact, since the camera rotates around while the photo is made, you can't see any rain in either of the pictures even though we were all getting drenched!
I have been working in France since the shoot and have just gotten back to the lab today. Those of you that ordered panoramas will have them coming to you by the end of this week. We were printing them all today. If you haven't ordered your panorama, now would be a good time to do so.
The winner of the 8 foot Mural Print this year is Jack Rowland of Tampa, Fl. Congratulations Mr. Rowland! The 8 foot mural prints are just amazing!
Hope you like it!
Thanks to all of the hard working Row Captains parking everyone and Barry Patasher for his hard work to organize the event.
PS: There is a special surprise in your photos, but you must look for it. Sort of like Where's Waldo you know! Hope you like this year's Dragon Panoramas!
My Best,

Yeah, I didn't even think MOTD was a competition but somehow he won it. He was probably that kid at show 'n tell where after everyone was finished there was just a consensus that he'd out-done everyone.
