Sweet! I'll set aside a selection for ya. The reviews of their new brews are a bit biased on Beer Advocate (lots of home town voters), but all of the new brews are solid contenders.

I bought 12 of each last weekend and bubble wrapped 'em so they wouldn't be rattling/jingling all the way to Fontana. As long as I don't get thirsty, they will be at the swap!

Well, I picked up my 2 cases today. And now I have a confession.... In speaking with the staff at the distributor I frequent about the availability of the Penn Brewery selections (explaining the nature of the Brew Swap and MOTD in the process), I was subsequently convinced to bring something instead of what I was planning on. I hope I'm not stealing someone else's thunder with Erie Brewing Co's:
  1. Drake's Crude Oatmeal Stout
  2. Misery Bay IPA

I am taking a gamble on the unknown here based solely on this guy's recommendation of the Oatmeal Stout since I have not tried either and he couldn't comment on the IPA because he doesn't drink that style of beer. I'm an IPA fan, personally, so I decided it was worth trying.

I hope that I'm not let down by my last-minute change of plans. That kind of thing usually bites me in the a$$. Here's hoping for the best.

Holy carp! Hopslam rocks and it's all gone in our area (seasonal). I've got 2 Christian Moerlein Emancipator Doppelbocks to trade for 1 Hopslam!

Easily one of the best commercials for beer I've ever seen.

Hey Jon, don't worry about the changes. Most oatmeal stouts are very good and I have yet to try a truly bad IPA. IPAs are my favs too.

I am truly envious of you guys and am sorry I'm going to miss the festivities.

The wife and I are planning on doing AMVIV next year so I may have to try and start something up there.

Check your local area guys. Helping someone get their favorite beer when they can't get it is rewarding. As is receiving your favorite beer.

Heiner Brau's Kolsch is a good light style beer.
I found some Blackened Voodoo made by Dixie( I haven't seen a bottle with that name for 30 years! ), so I'm bring couple of six-packs of that, as well as the regular Dixie. Both are now made in Monroe, Wisconsin. I did not find Crimson Voodoo. I didn't have much luck trading the Kolsch last year, though it is good.

Update: I have an appointment Monday night to pick up a case of Heiner Braus newest seasonal, Tiger Town!

Well, I was wrong it was a video for Tiger beer. Someone told me that was popular back in the day.

Yuengling

We will be bringing some Yuengling Lager to compliment the Black & Tan that CR&PW&JB is bringing.
I also have some Monty Python's Holy Grail Ale that I can bring if anyone is interested?

I know it isn't local...but it is English, a MINI local so to speak ...and tempered over burning witches!

Got my mixed case of Two Brothers Brewery product from West of Chicago. Bringing Dog Days Dortmunder Style Lager, Domaine DuPage French Country Ale, The Bitter End Pale Ale and Ebel's Weiss Beer. Interested in Yuengling Chesterfield Ale, Yuengling Black & Tan, (If anybody's coming from Canada I will swap just about anything I have for some Molson Stock Ale) and just about any Oatmeal Stout, Porter or Stout. I have NEVER been able to find Molson Stock outside of Canada.

A couple of Arizona brews are traveling with Kalvin & Melissa (wikedgolf)

Kilt Lifter Scottish-Style Ale
Our award-winning Flagship ale is now in bottles!! This is an ale made in the tradition of the great strong ales of Scotland. Amber colored, malty sweet with underlying note of smokiness. Alcohol content approximately 6.0% by volume
Medals - Great American Beer Festival (GABF) 1998 & 1999 & 2003 - Bronze - Scottish-Style Ale

8th Street Ale
Our award winning 8th Street Ale is based on an English-style "Best Bitter" which is the most common ale served in British pubs. What makes 8th Street Ale uncommon is its mellow bitterness and its slightly sweet malt flavor. It's aroma is derived from rare, imported Kentish hops, and lots of them.
Alcohol content approximately 4.5% by volume
Medals - World Beer Cup 2002 - Bronze - Ordinary Bitter
Great American Beer Festival (GABF) 2000 & 2002- Silver - English-Style Bitter
