Lucky Dog Dyno Challenge at the Dragon
Lucky Dog Dyno Challenge at the Dragon
Everyone,
I wanted to make you aware of recent event added to the Event Planner. Lucky Dog Garage will be bringing down its Dynapack chassis dyno to the event and is scheduling dyno-based ECU tunes while at the event. They will be taking a break on Friday between 1-4PM to host a dyno challenge. Anyone that considers their car to make more than 200 HP at the wheels should submit an entry (its free and the dyno run is free). For more information be sure to click here to get the full scoop and enter!

I just registered, but is that in the state of NC? If so, I would not be able to attend since I just realized where they ere. I'm in Cali and it would require me to fly my car there. haha, I don't think I would be able to do that.
hmm this is a posting that LDG (Lucky Dog) will be at the dragon (NC) doing a dyno challenge. So I'm guessing...yes you would have to fly your car there or to MD where his actual shop is. Date:Friday May 4, 2007
Time:1PM-4PM

I don't think it would be right.
I already know what my car runs on that dyno and I'm otherwise involved with the dragon organization.

I'm not considering this a competition. I don't expect, nor want, to "win" anything. I'm just very curious to see how the the typical basic mods many of us do (exhaust, CAI, pulley, chip, wires & plugs, etc.) compare to the all-out mods / rebuilds the serious track racers do.
it is intersting to me that much of the "high HP" crowd is not the same as the track junkies. (drag racers not included). what do you people do with 250 whp on a street car? i probably don't want to know! i would like to invite any of you to a track event near me any time (sebring, homestead, moroso). i will be willing to travel to road atlanta or roebling road. reply here or by pm.......greg

I am turning back into a track rat, only got my Mini in Jan. Last weekend did a date, this weekend another, then May 12 and have others on the calendar as well. I'm all for taking my "high HP" mini to DE events. Sorry no wheel to wheel for me, I don't look good in Nomex.
BMWCCA Peachtree: july 6-8 road atlanta. i'll be there. registration is not yet open....anyone else?.....i know that roach will find a way to be here! trailering a street driven MINI is certainly acceptable. i just want to see if large hp is a large advantage w/ a MINI. i decided to spend on handling and brakes.....let's go!

Do you know what he put down?
...and does anybody know who won? and what were the numbers?

I forgot his name but I believe he pulled 195whp
I wish I had entered now coz I pulled 197.4 at LDG with a bad belt tensioner.
Yes, I think that was Don's car (Jersey plates?) I heard he pulled more than that. Guess we'll have to wait for LDG to post the results.
