5th Annual MINIs on the Dragon (May 3-6, 2007)The 5th Anniversary of the largest MINI event in the nation. Ready to take your turn trying to tame the Dragon?
I'm having trouble finding a central thread where I can show friends pictures of MOTD with all the Minis/activities that has taken place...is there such a thread?
I love the Midnight run ones, with the beams of light pointing up. Too bad the new MINI can't do that...Does anyone have a copy of the video of driving the Dragon? That'd be a good thing for all the noobs...
Good pics, Andrew.
Why don't we make this thread a gallery of photos from past years?
I'll start with some Midnight photos and some other assorted ones. . . just give me a few minutes to edit them into this post.
Where Is this Waterfall? I WANNA GO!! We are going down early for this very reason...last year we never got to explore the area, and now I am ready to see as much as I can (Got my free maps and everything!) Someone please direct me to this photo opportunity!

Last time I was in Cades Cove, I think I was about 6 and my mother took pictures of all the 'cows' (she didn't have her glasses on and snapped the photos...) Well needless to say, we now have a LARGE family joke about 'cows' she took pictures of haystacks in the field!
I will have to check it out. I want a picture of SoulFire like that!

This is not at Cades Cove. This is Bald River Falls. This one is on a side road a few miles off of the Cherohala Skyway. The road you turn off onto is called River Road and is about 4 miles east of the junction of Hwy 360 and 165. Follow River Road about 6 miles to the falls. Be VERY careful because the road is barely wide enough for 2 MINI's to pass each other in many places. But is is so pretty that you want to take your time anyway. There is a parking area just after the bridge my MINI was parked on.
Thanks Yucca! we are planning on driving that way on wednesday before it gets toooooooooo crowded! I will make a note of it to check it out! I LOVE good pictures of my MINI!

We went there on the 1st or 2nd Dragon..it is beautiful. There's a little parking area beyond the bridge. If I remember correctly, part of that road is unpaved....I may be wrong. The Cherohala is cool, too.
