Did you get yourself added to the wait list? That's the best thing to do at first

We were in 728 at the bottom of Hilltop drive. I was told that allot of the Dogwoods would be razed by next year. Ours was old and creaky but if someone would have painted it it would have been much nicer.

I'm now amazed that I was able to get 2 Willows for next year

Luckily, there was a room with a queen bed available for $79.20/night. The only other "room" available was an original 2-bdrm Dogwood (#669) also for $79.20/night.

We stayed in Dogwood #1052 this year, which wasn't too bad but when I said I'd take #669 for next year, she quickly informed me that it was an original Dogwood and compared to #1052, it was very, very rustic & not updated at all.

So...needless to say, I reserved the room with the queen bed!

Reservations are April 30th - May 3rd, checking out on Sunday, May 4th.

JUST called (AGAIN) and sure enough, there's a wait list and we're on it, thanks dude (I know, I know, but Dudette just sounds weird and like I told ya, "Dude" is a non gender-specific term in Drill-speak )

Oh, also, I'm the only one on the list for the Cabana rooms if anyone was thinkning about those

We reserved our room mid-day on Saturday. After reading this I am so glad I didn't wait until Sunday!

I reserved one of the older Dogwoods, as all the feasible rooms were gone by around 9 AM. That said, I'll have an extra bedroom available in May...just do not know yet if it will be the one with the full bed or the one with the 2 twins. Arriving 4/30-5/3...checking out on 5/4.

Ok, everyone take a deep breath. No need to panic.

In case you didn't notice there were NUMEROUS cancellations in the month leading up to MOTD and some further back than that. There were also people looking for others to join them in a room or cabin where they had multiple beds but were by themselves.

The lodging situation at Fontana is a fluid situation from now until the actual event. Be polite and routinely call and try to get yourself taken care of.

I just called, and the lady told me everything was booked. I asked to be put on the waiting list, though. Crazy...

I reserved a 2 bedroom, 2 bath w/ AC and TV for next year Cabin. They said it was some member's only cabin but they are reserving them out because MOTD is so big.

I managed to get a "member's cabin" as well, after finding out that the cabin I've had for the past couple of years was already rented out for next year. I'm glad I bugged out during the Farewell Dinner and didn't wait until checkout on Sunday.

We were offered that as well. They are NOT cabins, so don't be disappointed when you get there. They're condos, and they're right near the general store, so in the middle of the madness. I opted for the hotel at that point because we have kids, and it would be more peacful at the top of the hill. All the cabins were gone when I checked. I hated lugging all our stuff up and down three flights of stairs this year, and we got a room on parking lot level for next year. It works.
